Enjoy true convection cooking with this KitchenAid electric range. The convection oven heats to the right temperature and maintains it for even baking, and an interior steam rack adds moisture to your oven when needed. The glass touch controls of this KitchenAid electric range make it easy to control each burner.
Q: Is there a trim kit that would elimate the gap between the range and granite countertops?
A: I was concerned about a gap replacing a conventional range with a slide in - but there was no gap at all. But, if you have a different experience, Kitchenaid sells a trim kit. Mine was perfect!
Q: If there are 5 burners, why are there only 4 control knobs?
A: The fifth burner is a warm zone in the middle back that is turned on at the control panel. You can't control the temperature of this burner.
A: Convection or not, the fan runs until the oven cools down.
A: The depth of the convection range is 28.88.
A: NO
A: I had the same problem. I ordered a “Silicon kitchen stove counter gaps cover” off of EBay and cut it fit my application. It looks so much better!
A: I have had this stove for over a month and used it about everyday since. We have a very very old school vent that we are going to get rid of because it is not needed with this stove. Unless you burn something bad you will be fine not having a vent.
A: No, this unit isn't a downdraft range.

Oven is a beauty in kitchen. So far like how it cooks a lot. It took 4 ovens though for KA to get it right. If you buy one, be sure to inspect door closely, there was always an issue with it being crooked. If you have the Geek Squad protection, which I suggest on this big of an item, they are awesome about exchanging it until it's right. Still would recommend but with above warning to get the GS protection.

Literally had this KItchen Aid electric glass range delivered today and just cooked first meal. Stove top already has huge scratch! The range is really pretty - but this is a major flaw! I’m afraid what it will look like in a month :( We had our last glass top electric range - a Frigidaire Gallery - for 19 years. I cooked hundreds of meals, 19 huge Thanksgiving meals, scraped stuck food with a razor, scrubbed with Softscrub - and don’t remember any visible scratches. Seriously. I cannot understand why this would not be tested etc. I only lifted a pot of boiling water - must not have lifted it directly straight up - and immediately saw a big squiggly scratch. So disappointed.

This oven is absolutely gorgeous and works really well. My only negative is it does seem to take awhile to preheat. But overall beautiful and well made even came with a steam bread tray thing (that was a Suprise to me) looks super industrial and really is my favorite appliance in the whole house
