I use it to grind coffee beans. It grinds well but does leak out a little bit of ground coffee around the edges of the clear plastic cover. I think most coffee grinders have this problem anyway. It is a tiny issue and overall, I am happy with the grinder. It is noisy but again, it's a grinder trying to grind, so noise is just a natural result.
