I have been having issues finding a replacement pot since my Cuisinart started leaking a couple months ago. I went through a Brewville, and Mr Coffee. This pot is better than both (may never compare to my classic Cuisinart from 2002, but a close 2nd)
The pot is easy to setup out of the box (I'd recommend rinsing or running through the dishwasher). Plug and go.
There are several function keys, two filter types, and two ways to fill.
The pot has 2 auto time settings, two heat plate settings, and strength settings. The water fill tank is removable to refill or you can just pour it in from the pot. Also the filter allows basket and cone.
You can set the plate to hot or medium and how long it stays on.
You can set the perk time/temp to control brew strength.
I great pot, I would recommend it.
The main benefits of this one over the other two I tried are the glass carafe w/ heating plate keeps coffee hotter than the insulated carafe w/ no heat, and there is no excessive condensation I had from the Mr Coffee, so no drips all over the counter when I open it up.

This coffee maker makes awesome hot coffee! It’s consistent and makes a hot cup of coffee and keeps it hot for the full two hours it remains on. Took a couple of times to figure out setting the time but once we did it was a piece of cake.

Attaching the water reservoir can be tricky, you must pay attention because if not seated all the way it will leak overnight.

Had to return after I bumped the bottom of the carafe on the counter and it broke the 2nd time I used it. Carafe wasn't hot when it happened. Other reviews indicated that the carafe breaks easily and it does. Couldn't find a replacement carafe for less than half the cost of the actual coffee maker.

Great Coffee Maker

KitchenAid appliances always seem to have a solid and professional appearance and this coffee maker is no exception. It’s got that classic look and the quality is excellent, although the chassis is mostly plastic. One of the things I like most about this coffee maker is that it can be operated from the front if counter space is limited or you can turn it sideways if you have space and get full view of the timer and buttons. Beyond that, this coffee maker has all the standard features that most good units have and makes a great pot of coffee. The included gold tone filter has a dosage ladder for filling the coffee grounds, but is even numbered only. If you want to make an odd number of cups, you kind of have to guess or use a coffee scoop. This brings me to on problem I have. It is easy and cheap enough to include a coffee scoop, but KitchenAid did not. For people like me who prefer to use paper filters, this is annoying. I had one laying around that I could use, but if this is your first coffee maker, you better go buy one or use a measuring spoon. Small problem, but it annoyed me just the same. Another coffee maker I bought had one included and even had a place to store it when not in use.
The removable water tank is another great feature. It is easy to remove and fill, and the numbers are easy to read. The pause and pour feature is nice, but similar to most units on the market today. Like most others, it is nearly impossible not to have a couple of drops of coffee hit the warming ploate when you remove the pot early. The auto set feature lets you set two brewing times. This is great for weekday and weekend brewing times. You can also set the coffee strength to bold if you like your coffee a bit stronger.
Overall this is an excellent choice for coffee drinkers at a very reasonable price. It is classy looking enough for high end kitchens without spending a fortune.
