I thought the bookshelf speakers were good enough. Boy was I wrong. I purposely waited for these to go on sale and when they did, i jumped on them. They are definitely heavier than they look and I would recommend having an extra set of hands to help with removing from the box. Setup was a snap and once I tried that out I was blown away. I no longer need to go to the movie theater. You can have your own with these.

Sound good but feel the height speakers added to them is what makes them sound great.

Crystal clear audio, paired with a klipsch center channel (rp 504c) and a kw120 thx ultra sub... this set up will rattle your house with perfect clarity.

Great speaker I would definitely recommend. Got it to replace one of my speakers that stopped work. I would recommend that you buy too my old one is not has good as the new one.

If you power the speakers with a amplifier, you can almost get away without using a subwoofer. I would definitely recommend these speakers…..especially when they were on sale.

Thanks for nothing at all Best Buy. So, back in April I started building on a home theater system. I was buying different pieces that i could afford individually. I put an order in for some "excellent " open box Klipsch speakers for my home stereo system. Well unbeknownst to me i was sent to Jacksonville to help another tech down there. It was only supposed to be a week or two and it actually ended up being two months. When the Klipsch speakers i ordered were delivered my girlfriend told me the boxes the speakers were in felt like they didn't have any Styrofoam in them to support the speakers. Fast forward 6-30-24. I finished with the job in Jacksonville and came home this past Saturday. I was excited to get the stereo going. On Sunday after i got up i went down to the basement to begin booking it all up. The boxes for the speakers looked like they had seen much better days. I went to go move one and it was like my girlfriend had said, the speaker felt like it was rocking inside of the box with no Styrofoam. I took my knife and started cutting the excess amount of tape to open up the box. I slid the box up off the speaker and the top corner of the speaker had a big gouge on the corner. I thought excellent condition? As I'm inspecting the speaker i found several more places where it was damaged. As i looked at the back of the speaker i noticed one of the jacks was broken off where you hook the speaker up to. Unbelievable. At that point i was oh no so I started opening the other box. Mind you, the second box was in much worse condition. I got the second speaker out of the box and sure enough one of the top corners was bashed in. Thanks Best Buy. Upon further inspection i looked at the back of the speaker and that's when i became angered. Not one jack broken off but all four were broken off at the bottom of the stud and the jacks themselves were not even in the box. Unacceptable. So today, 7-3-24 i called the Best Buy customer service line and informed them of my discovery. I explained that i was out of town working and couldn't receive the speakers myself. The gentleman on the phone asked if i minded waiting while he spoke to someone about my problem. I guess he had some to the great and power corporate wizard of oz. He got back on the phone with me and told me there was nothing they could do about it. Best Buy, I spent 800.00 on two speakers that someone might find in a dump. From this point forward i vow to never give your company another dollar. I've bought multiple phones, laptops, TV's, two different gaming systems and other smaller items. You will never get my business again and shame on you. I understand that there are parameters but i didn't choose to get sent out of town and i didn't want my girlfriend to have to deal with my toys. I thought i had a chance of this being rectified if i called and simply explained my situation. To anyone who reads this review this is an honest review of what happened. I have no need to bash Best Buy. This is a learning lesson to me. I assure you i will speak up anytime buying electronics comes up in a conversation I'm in that I will steer anyone away from purchasing a thing from your store. Thank you very little for your terrible customer service and not understanding how life really is. What a shame. Sincerely One very unhappy past customer

Excellent speakers. I very much enjoyed listening to these, though chose to upgrade to the RP-8000f ii since I have the RP line for my other speakers. But these are worth every penny, especially for $299 on Black Friday!

I have always wanted a set of tower loudspeakers. Once i started with the Klipsch subwoofer i decided to make everything the same. I am happy wirh these towers. They completely complement the center and complete the soundstage. I was excited when i finally decide to pull rhe trigger I was able to save $240 per speaker.

For the last two weeks I've been test-driving a pair of Klipsch Reference series 800F floor standing speakers. These are brand new for 2022 and at the time of this writing there is no information online about them. However, I believe these are a revised version of the 820F model that incorporates design cues from the 8000 model. For my testing I used two similar 1100 watt receivers from different brands and a set of 16-gauge cables with banana jacks. With either receiver the towers sounded great. However, one receiver did sound better than the other and required less power to drive the speakers. So your mileage may vary. Out of the box these speakers needed minimal assembly. There's a two-piece plastic stand that attaches to the bottom of the towers with screws. All I needed was a Phillips head screwdriver and a helper to assist in flipping and moving the speakers. After installing the stand, the speakers are 43 inches tall and 16 inches deep. Which is larger and deeper than I expected. But luckily, I had enough space to accommodate them. As for overall looks and feel I think the speakers are fantastic. I love the unique design of the large tractrix horn, copper-colored woofers and completely hidden fasteners. I also liked that the exterior convincingly feels like real wood grain and the speaker grills are magnetic. On top of that, the cabinet construction is top notch and the rubber feet do an excellent job keeping the speakers planted. As for performance, the speakers can get really loud, and provide crystal-clear vocals as well as plenty of bass. Even without a subwoofer the towers easily provided enough bass to make my picture frames rattle. When paired with a center channel, surround speakers, Atmos speakers and a subwoofer they provided an excellent and immersive surround sound experience. Another nice feature of these speakers is that it includes a second banana jack input on the bottom of the cabinet and a banana jack output closer to the top which acts as a pass through for top mounted Atmos speakers. So if you intend on using these for a home theater this will make cable management a little easier. Overall, I love these speakers and highly recommend them as both standalone speakers and as part of an Atmos home theater system.

Going from the bookshelf klipsch speakers to these bad boys, they sound amazing! For my sound system I can thoroughly enjoy every aspect of the music I listen to. Definitely worth it.
