I love the sound this sub makes, the bass makes it sound like a theater

This is by far the best sub I've had. The sound is incredible. It linked up with my receiver perfectly. This sub crushes subs that are twice the price. I would recommend.

The difference in output between this and my old 10 inch klipsch sub is astounding! Lots of power, good form factor, and clean 'punch'.

I have been monitoring this subwoofer for a while in order to complete my Klipsch set, I was lucky when I ordered on Black Friday at 50% OFF. After having the change to enjoy it for about 2 months now, I can guaranty you, that your neighbors won't be happy with you. But, at the end, you will be in another world, Excellent balance between tones, I have been able to reach 31 MHz frequencies out of it, a deep bass, not boomy. According to the level set, it might rattle the floors, especially on movies such as Transformers, Dunkirk, and so many new movies on Dolby Atmos.

I bought this sub for my home theatre system. Great power and deep window rattling bass! Ended up buying another one since I have a 7.2 receiver. Incredible sound!!!

Very powerful sub that delivers. Neighbors came over almost immediately. Easy to set up and has gain and low pass settings on rear for optimal tuning. Great purchase.

This is a great 12" sub and it looks good while pumping out some serious bass. I have this hooked up currently to a 5.1 klipsch system and Yamaha rx-v679bl in a basement measuring 20'x14'x9' approximately. I don't think you can go wrong with this but remember that Best Buy usually puts this sub on sale several times a year, so just keep an eye out for their sales. I was able to pick up an open box during the sale for an even cheaper price and I have been sincerely happy with my decision. The bass is not overbearing. It has a nice tight feel to it and integrates well with my other speakers.

I went to best buy to hear this sub before purchasing. If you want movie theater quality sound with that great movie boom this is your sub. Best Boom for the buck!

So far sub seems loud along with quality sound. Rare to find one that does both IMO. I enjoy bass heavy sound, so this may be overkill for some.

I recently got a new 7.2 receiver and the sub woofer I had at them time was pretty old. I upgraded to this one and was still a little concerned about it providing enough base. My home theater is in a pretty large open area room, i was even thinking I might need 2 sub woofers. Well this thing can bring the house down! This provided very solid and clean base through out the whole room and then some. I keep the amp on the sub at about the half way point (even a little less) and it is more than enough. Very happy with this purchase.

Great sound and plenty of power to fill the room. Might make the neighbors mad but if you don't hear them it don't matter!

Very good base. I like the adjustments u can made with the sounds. This was more than enough for my media room which is 12ft x 20ft. I wouls recommend.

This is my second sub added to my system. Placement is key to obtaining the maximum sound. Overall the performance has been good.

We bought this for my dads 30x50 workshop/mancave and its amazing. the over sound quality is great. Fills the place with bass.

If you are looking for a well rounded sub for your home theater, this is it. It packs plenty of power, looks great, and sounds well balanced.

This sub is great for mid bass. It is a bit boomy but very strong and solid! I would recommend this subwoofer!

Almost went with the 10" but a friend who knows my standards has a 12" himself & had returned the 10". Black Friday marked down to 1/2 price, an "open box" to knock another $50 off AND $100 Best Buy Rewards. I LOVE Best Buy value!! Now, about the sub woofer: VERY powerful sound without muddy "booming". I have a 20x25 theater room that this thing just ROCKS with crisp bass. If you like your bass a bit more subtle, the db response is adjustable to help match with your other speakers. At 400watts, you will not be disappointed with performance or value!

The R-12SW is a basic, but a very good sub from Klipsch. About 30% gain is needed to get tight, deep, quality bass that will blend really well with the rest of the speakers. With my setup, turning the gain higher simply resulted in the sub dominating all the other speakers (not my taste). Unfortunately, I could not keep the sub because it was too large for my family room. I ended up paying a lot more for a much smaller and expensive Definitive SuperCube 4000. For comparison, 50% gain (loudness) on the Definitive equals to about 30% gain on R-12SW.

This speaker can really pack a punch! I had to turn it down a little because it was over powering. It is clean and gives out a clean deep sound.
