I purchased this sub to complete my 7.2 klipsch setup, and it took my system to another level!!! This bad boy has great range, whether you are watching movies or listen to music, this sub will add a deep dynamic to your system. If i had an apartment i would get the 10. This bass hits hard.

I replaced my old Sony Sub with the Klipsch 12" Sub and my whole movie experience jumped several notches. What a difference it makes to have a well tuned powerful sub. It has plenty of power for higher volumes without distortion. Now when things explode, I feel it and the whole room rocks.

Great speaker for the price. This speaker brings your music and movies to life. If you enjoy feeling the sound of what you are listening to then this speaker is for you. I can hear this thing throughout my home at around 60% and I have a 3300 sqft home.

I decided on this sub after seeing it named in numerous "best budget sub" hi-fi articles on the web. It certainly lives up to the hype! I'm using it as part of a 5.1 home theatre (Andrew Jones Pioneer speakers) as well as for 2.1 stereo for my Pro-Ject Carbon Record player. This sub passes with flying colours for both applications. It effortlessly recreates the thundering lows of Hollywood special effects as well as the warm bass lines on my LP's. I really cannot find fault with this sub. I absolutely love it! Highly recommend!

I bought this sub because my 8" Velodyne while loud, just didn't have the power where I could actually feel the bass (explosions and such) in my large basement. The Klipsh packs a punch and at half gain, and half to go, it really fills the space and shakes the seats!

My 12 year old 10” Infinity sub went and I’m glad it made it until Black Friday. Half off, and 4x the sound. This sub sounds amazing and the bass is t overdone when setup right. Movies sound even better now, music hits perfect.

these have amazing clarity and the crossover filters work perfectly. Tested and measured their sensitivities.. perfect! Also they sound great. Can shake the house if i need to.. but my wife controls the subwoofer volume.. lol!

The sub-woofer has deep bass. I have it right in the corner of my living room and it can fill the whole room when you want it to. It has a gain knob in the back so you can adjust the amount of bass you want if it differs from song to song or turn it off completely if your're watching movies when the rest of the family is asleep. It also has a frequency pass through filter to adjust the max frequency that is routed to the sub-woofer instead of your main speakers. Truth be told the sub is probably overkill for my setup. The 10" would have been fine.

Picked this up on a black Friday deal for an amazing price -- I'd gladly pay double for it, but happy I didn't. This is the subwoofer of my dreams....for the amount of money I'm willing to pay anyway. Klipsch always delivers on quality and price. Rich, full sound that fills my large living room perfectly. This is a replacement for the one hurricane Harvey took, so without the lower half of my walls or furniture in the way, the acoustics are pretty amazing. Curious to see how it will sound when it's all back together. And yes, a quality sound system is a much higher priority for me than furniture or even walls.

I bought some book shelf speakers for a home billiards room and wanted to add some bass to the room to enhance the overall sound. I went online and saw a lot of positive reviews for the Klipsch 10 inch reference. I was going to buy one and found that the 12" had an extra 100 watts and was just 100.00 more. I put it in a big room over the garage and at half volume it does the job nicely. I do not require a lot of bass yet when I turned the gain up just past half it could be felt across the room with no problem - and still sound good. For those who want to feel the sound this one will definitely do it. I believe Klipsch also has a wireless solution if hiding cables or putting the sub on the opposite side of the room is required. So for a 450.00 sub this was a great choice and have recommended this to friends and family as well.

I've been waiting to upgrade my sub to this specific one for some time. I have matching Klipsch towers and they sound amazing together. Lots of deep base for movies and or music. Recommend for a larger space.

The Klipsch - Reference 12" 400W Powered Subwoofer was part of my upgrade to Dolby Atmos 5.2.4 and while it is warm and tight for subtle support under dialog, when the bombs go off and actions scenes start, it explodes with tight solid undistorted enjoyment. Once you properly set the crossover and EQ to your room it recreates what the producers and engineers intended with room filling sound. I combined it with an Energy 10" powered sub from my old system and together they deliver that theatre experience, but it can also easily stand by itself in an average size room.

I previously had a 12" Cerwin Vega amplified sub that was amazing, but the amp finally gave out. This Klipsch sub is just as good if not better. It is way more bass and power than I actually needed......but isn't that the idea?!

I got two of these to pair with two tower speakers. Easily didn’t need two. These hit very hard and sound reasonably clear. I can’t turn them up over 1/4 volume or they rattle the siding on my house.

Perfect, crisp sound, the bass is fantastic. I installed it with my a/v receiver Onkio RZ series, and the movies sound fantastic, ( depends what movie you are watching on ). It delivers great sound.

I bought this sub to add to my upgraded surround system and couldn't be happier with the improved bass it added. I have a mid sized basement living room and fills the room very nicely with sound.

Like I said, It's Klipsch. A 12" Powered subwoofer that can provide the Ultimate bass experience, even when the volume is low. It provides clean bass that covers a wide range of bass notes, from drums to bass guitar and more. Solid box that won't vibrate or add any distortion when the sub is at it's peak. can't say that it won't rattle the pictures hanging on your wall's but, that's your problem. Sorry no images to post but trust me, The R-12SW model will be the (BEST BUY) you can make.

Have slowly been chasing out my home theater system to all Klipsch speakers. It was finally time to add the sub in addition to what I already had to capture true 9.2 surround. The unit I bought was site unseen open box “excellent” condition. While the sub performs as it should, I would definitely not rate its condition upon arrival as excellent due to the obvious scratches. Thankfully it’s in a corner out of direct line of site & since I paid 50% from retail I can deal with a few scratches. Still a Klipsch and still performs as expected.

This subwoofer is the bomb!! I was worried the wattage wasn't going to be enough for our living room, but it rattled the windows!! The base is nice and clear. I highly recommend this piece for your surround sound!!

This subwoofer is outstanding! I love Klipsch products! It is located in my media room that is approximately 500 ft.². It has more than enough bass and power. It is bass that you can feel!
