Very nice speakers but need good receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these online without hearing them first, which is not something I would typically do with sound gear (Black Friday purchase). Very happy with the sound these put out, but my receiver is a little under powered. I paired these up with the 10" Klipsch powered sub and a Denon 1295W receiver that says 185W per channel, but is really 45WRMS per channel into 8 ohms. These speakers are rated at 150W continuous. If you really want to blast these out, you'll need to spend a good bit on a receiver. I noticed a Marantz 7 channel power amplifier (150WRMS per channel) and a separate 7 channel preamp (needed to go with the power amp) on BestBuy's website that would probably make these things crank, but that's about $4k of receiver equipment. Having said that, even with my under powered receiver, these sound really good. They easily fill my 1500 square foot finished basement with sound - even with 30 screaming football fans.

Great Speakers with full sound

They replaced Bose home theater surround sound speakers. What a big change in sound quality ! The highs, mids and lows are so much better. Superb clarity and the price is great. Can not go wrong with these speakers. One note: these speakers are rather big.

Simply awesome

They are massive and I’m still in the breaking in stage but they are starting to come to life. The bass is awesome at low levels and my movie experience has been taken to a new level. I own the r-28f front speakers 10 inch sub and the r25 center. Sony amp pushing 145w per channel awesome sound.
