After exchanging 3 other headphones that broke (under extended warranty) these have sounded the clearest and most comfortable.
This headphone has endured going from backpack to car for almost 6 months now and they still look great and sound great.

Great, pure, crisp, not base overloaded sound. I like to hear the music like the Symphonic Orchestra is playing in front of me in a music whole. The fit is of course legendary!

I've gone through so many ear buds that after lots of use give me bruises and fatigue in my ears. These however are PERFECT! They really got the fit right. The sound is fully isolated, yet it feels like there's nothing in my ears!

Are these buds for you?

Sound is so subjective it's difficult to get a good review worth reading. So let me just say they are very comfortable and don't fall out my ear while active. The Apple ear buds that came with my iPhone fell out just sitting at my desk. I also have a set of Bose ear buds but they don't have the built-in microphone or device controls. The Klipsch sound better than the Bose in my opinion for around the same price point. I didn't buy them for the noise cancelling so I was surprised on how well they worked.

Great for others, but not for me.

The Klipsch reference X4i is a fantastic in ear monitor for the more mature listener, as it is very sparkly in the high and mid ranges. The lows, however, are lacking. This sound signature makes this in ear monitor great for vocals and classical music, but disappointing for other genres like EDM, Hip Hop/rap, and other genres that require some attention in the low range.

Great sound... Blow out fast

I chose these headphones because they seemed like great headphones for listening to rock/heavy metal and they were. They sound amazing and have great tone. The main downfall is my pairs kept blowing out. I went through about 3 pairs using the warranty and finally just gave up on them. Overall good sound, just blow out very fast despite not turning my music up very loud.

When you think Klipsch you think big, vibrant, bold, theater sound.
I came across these and figured I pick them up given the above.
Sadly I could not be more disappointed.
Out the box; low frequency response is lacking, mids are flat and highs a tingy. Believe or not, my cheap JVC's have better range.
Tried all supplied ear cups for the best seal, no change in sound quality.
Taking them back today. Definitely, not worth the price tag.

After losing my iPhone earbuds, i wanted to finally upgrade to a higher quality pair. I first purchased the Bose SoundTrue earbuds based off the recommendation of one of the so called experts in the store and also because I've never heard anything negative about Bose. They sounded good but the inline remote is not compatible with iPhone 6 so i wanted to return them for a different pair. When i was browsing for another pair, another so called expert recommended the Klipsch brand. Said these would blow the socks off of Bose. After all, you are mostly just paying for the Bose name. Well...the Klipsch x4i model is the biggest piece of garbage I've listened to. If you like mono AM radio, these are the headphones for you. NO bass, little treble, a lot of flat garbage. I couldn't even make it through 1 song on these things. Buy any cheap $20 headphones and you will be better off! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THESE! Also, don't make the same mistake I made by assuming the employee's in the store have any idea what they are talking about! Do your own research.

I'm a huge Klipsch fan from the early 1980s. I own Klipsch speakers, my brother owns Klipsch, and I have convinced numerous others to purchase Klipsch speakers. I have never been more disappointed in a pair of headphones than I was after purchasing the X4i. The X4i have the sound of an old bad transistor radio, no bass or mid range and most of all just bad sound. I owned BOSE headphones for 10 years, I will be purchasing a new set of BOSE upon the return of the X4i.
