THIS IS A GREAT ACCESSORY FOR THE MIXER FOR ELIMINATING SPLASHS AND SPILLS AND CONTROLS EXACTLY WHERE PRODUCTS ARE ADDED TO MIXING BOWL AND IS EASILY CLEANED IN TOP RACK OF DISHWASHER OR GENTLY WASHED BY HAND-INEXPPENSIVE AND YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING-EVERYBODY NEEDS ONE!

i like having this item it helps being able to add ingredients without splatters

Can't help out here. Purchased to be used with 85 tilt head. I read reviews and Googled as well, states it is compatible. Fingers crossed ..will have to wait til Christmas.

Very useful when adding items to the mixing bowl and keeping the beater running. Only down side is that it fits a little loose on the bowl so I have to keep an eye on it.

I bought this and we were not sure we would need it but she says it is worth every penny paid. Saves from making a mess all over the place.

Purchased this when my wife was looking for something to help dump materials into her mixer. This thing did the trick. Great price for a simple piece of add on plastic. Only question would be why this isn't included with the mixer at initial purchase.

We purchased a KitchenAid - Professional 5 Plus Series Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer and this pouring shield was listed as an accessory. Unfortunately, it didn't fit but was for the smaller Artisan series mixer for which we already have a shield. So we had to return it and Best Buy didn't carry the correct size to fit the 5 Plus Series bowl. Nevertheless, it's a good product if it fits and Best Buy's great customer service took care of the return.

The size is misleading. The pour shield information does not tell you if it fits 3.5, 4.5 or 5 quart bowl. I bought this at the same time as my 5 qt. Kitchen Aid mixer. It didn't fit. Maybe it would fit a 3.5 qt. mixer. Best Buy doesn't sell the correct size. I would recommend it IF it was the correct size.

Purchased this for my 5qt artisan design mixer and sadly the plastic is slightly warped to the point the shield does not sit evenly on the bowl. The result is a shield that easily falls half into the bowl, making a bigger mess than without it. I am going to try to slowly heat it and see if I can get it to cool "flat", but honestly, who has the time to fix something that should have worked right out of the box? I think the packaging allowed the room for the warping to occur, which KitchenAid could fix by encasing this in a tight-fitting plastic molded insert as they do other accessory items. I would recommend his item, but with a warning of "test first".

I've used this several times, but I think its easier and less messy to not used it at all. Every time I turn the machine on with the shield attached, the batter squirts outs, I've tried holding the shield down because it doesn't clip on and that doesn't help either.

This so so wonderful for incorporating liquids in to dry. Without messes.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. She's put it to good use and it works well for her.

Makes pouring from the bowl so much easier, a lot less mess. Made of high quality.

Product is well made and easy to use. Have purchased this brand before and found them to be very reliable.

A must to limit messes when adding ingredients to my Kitchen Aid mixer. But it gets off the rail often, and when mixing dough may get trapped with the dough hook.

I had to return this attachment because it would not work on my Kitchen-aid Professional 5 plus mixer bowl. I did not read the specifications and it was my fault...
