This shield is great to prevent food from slinging out of bowl as you mix, especially on higher speeds. Has an opening making it easy to add ingredients without removing the shield.

Bought this for my wife when she complained about splashes from the mixing bowl. Should be added as a standard item with the mixer.

I absolutely love the cover! Especially when your making cookies or cakes he flour goes everywhere. This cover helps with that, and keeps all the ingredients inside the bowl.

This works as expected and is helpful some times, but I do not seem to use as often as I thought I would. Love the mixer and this part was not too expensive, so good buy.

Is durable and easy to fit in works well with my basic classic mixer.

This is a nice addition to your mixer. I used mine for years without one, but after someone gave one to me, I now include one whenever I give the mixer as gift. It just makes adding ingredients less messy.

Got it for my wife for her kitchen aid, works as intended according to her but when I put it on I wish it was more snug

Bought this to keep dry ingredients contained in the mixing bowl. Just sits loosely on top of the bowl, but does seem to work. Would be great if it had a tighter fit.

I would recommend one of these splash guards for anyone who owns a Kitchenaid stand mixer. It's basically universal for all newer models and fits easily to cover the top side of the bowl. If you make a lot of things involving flour, it's a no brainer.

This is a great accessory for my KitchenAid mixer. I'm not the neatest baker so having the pouring shield means I don't have a cloud of flour,etc. in the air as I add ingredients. I like the shield so much, I ordered one for my sister!

I wasn't going to get it but my friend suggested it and I'm glad that I Did! Saves a lot of messes!

I’m only rating at 3 stars because this fits so loosely that even if you barely touch the chute while adding ingredients, it moves out of place. It does not fit the bowl at all snuggly. Obviously KA made this as one-size fits all bowl sizes, but it doesn’t “shield” anything when it falls into or skews off of the bowl. I am very disappointed.

I bought this to stop the flour from flying everywhere. It stops about 85% of the flour from escaping the bowl but not all. It’s still helpful but not as helpful as I would like.

I ordered this accessory after my wife and I used the kitchen aid mixer and we were having a hard time adding ingredients without making a mess. My wife said you should have purchased the pouring shield so I when online and got it ordered. No more messes when adding ingredients.
