We installed this in a rental property and it has worked pretty well. My only issue is that the bluetooth can be slightly tempermental - the issue is having tounphone too close to the lock and it thinks you are inside and will not unlock. Easy to deal with it is just counterintuitive to think to step away from the lock when you are first using/setting things up.

This makes the device convenient to check the status of the lock without getting out of bed; using bluetooth. There was a step missed in the instructions on how to pull the batteries compartment out, but the process was simple. The app is user friendly. The only downside to me is that a separate device (1 time purchase) is needed to access via wifi.

I really wanted to like this. The concept of not having to carry my keys with me and being able to unlock the door with my phone seemed like a good idea..... in theory. Unfortunately, it does not work that well in practice with this device. To start with the app is poorly designed. I have only one Kevo Lock and I still have to push a menu button on the app to get to the point of selecting my one door. Why it isn't ready to operate when the app loads is beyond me. Connecting to the lock, even when you are within 3 feet of is slow and unreliable. If you do connect and hit the unlock button, it takes another 30 seconds to a minute to re-connect before it operates. Consequently, if you want to lock the door, even though the app is still open and you haven't left the vicinity of the door, it again takes a minute or longer to connect, another 30 seconds to a minute to perform the lock function. We're to the point where 95 percent of the time we just use the key. It is faster. Perhaps if I spring for the hub, things would be better but at this point is seems like that would be throwing good money after bad. Next time, I'll go with a different brand.

This lock doesn’t work consistently. Remote operation requires a gateway $100. Not the best, not the worst!

Great concept for convenience but didn’t work with my old lock, and needs WiFi capability

I like the fact that you can use your phone to open and lock your door...however I thought you could check your phone wherever you were to check whether the door was locked or not. I was wrong. Still like it though.

Blietooth takes forever to connect and have to pay another 100 dollars to get the unlock anywhere feature

Horrible experience!! I would have never thought this would be so poorly made.

i wanted a lock that would unlock as I approached, (perimeter fencing) with my phone. This one you had to go onto your phone to lock and unlock, It was easy to install and worked with current lock set (Schlage) Outside you can not tell you had installed.

Not super impressed with this. The prices were off at the actual store and then we were led to believe by the sales associate that what we purchased came with the touch knob for the outside of the door as well as the device for the inside of the door, so were unpleasantly surprised upon getting home and discovering that the touch part was a totally different purchase. We have tried going in to buy the touch lock part for the outside since and they never have it even though the tag is up for it. All in all, not impressed that we weren't made aware when we initially purchased that what they were talking to us about wasn't actually what we were buying.

Now that i purchased the hub to make it smart i like it. It sucked that I wasn't able to purchase the hub in-store. The placement of the retail led me to believe it was part of the smart lifestyle. After researching and purchasing the hub i like it. I only wish the hub would work with other items.

The product works as advertised. For consumers wanting more flexible home automation, look for a different solution.

finally installed this Kevo "convert" lock. Was easy to install physically, but the software\app part of it took a little research, trial, and error. For example, it failed multiple times when i tried to associate the lock with my account. On a positive note, the app works well on older iphone models such as iphone4, 6, & 8.

Worked with my apple phone at first, but never with my boyfriends android. I got locked out of house several times. My phone was able to lock the door, but it always said it jammed, but then it was locked and was unable to unlock with my phone. Eventually my phone would no longer work to lock door, so we finally took off the door. Not sure what we will do with it now.

It works on Apple device, but android users need to check before they buy it

I was very disappointed to say the least it wasn’t compatible with me or MY DOOR!!!!!

It works good, but sometimes give issues. The issue is mainly mechanical, not easy to install
