Install was easy. It paired with my phone ran through the programming tested it a few times worked fine. Went to work the next morning and lock didn’t work. I had to close app let it establish Bluetooth connectivity before it would lock. Came home that night...same thing. Used the key the next day and returned it for lock with a digital keypad.

A bit complicated to install but such a great door lock! I felt so much safer, but it is very expensive

This does not work well without Wi-Fi adapter that costs another $100. Batteries last 6 months+ . Once it’s up and running, it does make my life easier and there have been few instances where I do need to let people in remotely and works as expected.

Awesome little addition to the house. Only thing I dislike is needing the Kevo app open for the lock to work. I went with the fobs since they make things much more convenient. Easy install

Well works great EXCEPT when Apple updates the IOS, and have to wait until Kēvo updates the app. So ALWAYS keep a spair key hidden, or on you Other than that concern I love the lock.

Easily lock and unlock your door with the touch of your finger. Installation was complicated but has worked great for the last month.

I bought this lock on recommendation from the wirecutter. It is a nice lock, and the touch to lock/unlock is without a doubt an amazing experience (I still get a little excited even multiple weeks with it). That being said, it was not a smooth experience in the slightest. The connection is at times wonky. The initial setup failed multiple times. When actually using the app to lock/unlock it takes longer than I'd like for the status to sync and be usable. All in all, it's a nice luxury to have, the touch to lock/unlock feature alone is great. Getting the Kevo + (separate $100 attachment that lets you lock/unlock all nearby kevo locks remotely) makes it even better. It also enabled Alexa integration. I also like that from the street it likes like a normal lock, and doesn't draw extra attention. Part of me wishes I had waited for the Nest + Yale smart lock, but I think the normal appearance and touch to lock would have still made me choose this one.

This item is awesome. Just touch it to lock it and open it. If the app is closed on your phone then it is not accessible.

Easy to install. It wasn't very reliable until the last update...:now it works much better

I purchased this particular deadbolt smart lock after reading many reviews. I am very pleased with my purchase. Easy to install as long as you follow directions. You may also find online intsallation videos on youtube. I don't carry a house key anymore, I just use my iphone. I don't think it is compatible with some androids..

This lock is fantastic! I love it! No one knows from the outside that it is any different than a regular key lock.

Speed bumps but for price I am very happy. Sometimes I have to go to app to set, still easy to use. Just a button. May be my phone or product, no biggie it takes 2 extra seconds to lock/unlock. Easy install took just as long as a normal deadbolt and a few minutes for setup.

I got this smart lock for a great best buy deal, oddly the brass plated version was $60 more than the nickel plated but had the same features. pros: compact version of the gen 1, minus the key pad and able to pair up by bluetooth with phone. when close to the door with phone a simple touch the rim of the lock to open and close. able to purchase fob also. Can be sync with alexa but...cons: in order to connect with alexa you would need to buy the Kevo Plus hub $99. I spend some time figuring out the install process, although the instruction was very easy to understand. my door handle was on the right but the lock kept turning left, play with the little switches on the device to resolve.

If your looking for a smart door lock this is for you. You can install yourself, Just make sure you have a good data connection when installing. You will have to refer to your phone when installing. It has lights for locking indications. I have not used my key since I installed it. It also handy as you can send people ekeys if they need to enter when you are not here.

I love being able to make sure my doors a locked from anywhere and the ability to give ekeys as needed.

Recommend buying it, it easy to install, no more getting my keys out of my pocket just touch and open.

This is a great lock. I purchased the adapter hub so I could connect to my network and ensure my house was locked when not home. Motherboard did fry on my first one and I ended up having to call customer service over a holiday weekend (which I was dreading). Once connected, we went through diagnostics process and quickly identified the motherboard and they processed for a replacement to be sent. Overall the whole experience was A++.

Easy to install , just remove old dead bolt and put new one in and activate the app, works great

Works WAY better than the August lock I tried. A little more physical setup but it's still easy. Ties in nicely with a ring doorbell.

I’ve been looking for the perfect lock and love how easy this one is to install and use.
