Like some of the reviews. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. After having this problem occur off and on. I decided to give the key pod a chance. I found using it more effective than the app.

No more making house keys or hiding them outside for someone to find. This is one of the best "smart home" additions that you should have. I love that I can simply send an electronic key to someone to let them in my home. I also love the fact that I don't even need to carry my key with me. I simply use the fingerprint recognition, and in I go. As for installation, if you can replace a deadbolt or handle, you can install this. I love it, and must admit, I do not think I would ever have a front door without this, or something like it again.

just bought was easy to install and set up I wish it would work with wifi instead of Bluetooth otherwise works ok

Amazing concept... But just not quite there. When it works, it's nice. But it doesn't always work. Furthermore the batteries hardly lasted a few weeks (yes, checked to make sure there wasn't any friction in the bolt or other bindings). Also, the lack of wifi/smart home features leaves much to be desired.

These bolts are easy to install, but a little noisy. Also, note: if you wish use it with Alexa, you will need to buy the hub, sold separately

Used this to replace version 1. Smaller footprint, but doesn’t always connect with smart phone.

I was super excited to get this lock on my home. I have a lot of friends that visit from out of town and having the ability for them to let themselves in if they want to stay out late was a dream. It still is a dream. Firstly the lock mechanism was too big to even fit in my door, so after somewhat successfully drilling out a ever so slightly larger hole (and scratching up the door finish in the process) I was able to get it to ‘fit’ in the hole. Then I had to fight with the deadbolt part to even hit the hole of the door jam, and guess what it still hasn’t ever worked. When the Kēvo tries to auto lock it just whirs and clicks until I get frustrated enough to manually lock it. Moving on from that I NEVER got the Kēvo and related phone app to ever talk to each other. I couldn’t even get it to work with three separate phones (all setup after clearing the lock memory and related app data). The lights around the exterior facing lock would never light up. Since this was the only deadbolt I have and now my old lock wouldn’t fit there was no way I was shipping the lock to the MFG for replacement, and since I live alone with a small kid I wasn’t leaving my home unlocked to return this to BBY. Basically I had the pleasure of wasting my money on a fancy standard deadbolt that I can’t replace without replacing my entire front door.

Got this kick for my business. It makes getting in an out much easier and I have peace of mind knowing of any one else is entering the building.

Little aggravating to make sure always have Kēvo app up on phone and make sure connected to lock or unlock. But otherwise I love it.

This product is really neat when it works. If I have my phone with me and just touch the lock from the outside, 85% of the time it unlocks. Sometimes the app on my phone has trouble connecting to the lock. So it’s good that it also comes with keys so you can open it the old fashioned way if you need to. You can send people access to unlock with their phone, and you can choose times and days when they can have access. I’ve had some trouble with this feature before. Overall a cool gadget.

It’s great to have digital keys. No more looking for the right keys. Can send digital keys to family and revoke them whenever you want. Works great! I bought two of them.

I love my Kevo! I have set it to automatically lock after 30 seconds so now my husband never has to worry that the door wasn't locked when we left. With a touch I can lock or unlock the door! Other reviewers were complaining of it not working all of the time, but I haven't had any issues. Works every time. The ability to re-key it to an existing key that I already had for Kwikset was a bonus that I love.

It works, the app must be running in the background for the touch feature... Simple installation.... We love it....

I’ve purchased 2 of these...my first one was sold in my previous home. Had to get another one for the new home.

I love it, I just have to replace the batteries every 6 months and make sure the lock is lined up perfectly.

For starters. I was hoping I could control this deadbolt through my phone, anywhere. In combination with my doorbell camera, I could open the door remotely. You can't. It only works within the few feet of the front door. Even with that, this deadbolt only wants to sometimes work. It's quite frustrating when you just tap the deadbolt to open, as it should, when you have your hands full of groceries and it doesn't work. In all, I honestly think a regular deadbolt would be what I would have gone with after my experience with this Kevo one. If it worked, just about every time, I might actually enjoy it.

I love this smart lock. Works without problems. Very easily installed. I connected it to Amazon Alexa and I bought the hub so that I could operate remotely. No need anymore to pass out keys and pray they’re returned. Also can unlock door from my favorite chair. Further, the worry of how first responders could get in if there was an emergency is gone. I recommend this lock heartily.

It works but u have to have the app running in background of your phone and it SUCKS the battery if it does. I tried to turn it on right b4 I need it but it takes away to register then

It's so easy to use. Amazing not having to search for keys when it's raining of my hands are full with purchases.
