Customers recognize the high build quality and fun factor of the Labo Toy-Con: Vehicle Kit, frequently praising the engaging gameplay and creative aspects. However, some customers note that assembly can be time-consuming, particularly for younger children, and that the cardboard construction may present storage challenges. The price point is also a factor, with some finding it worthwhile, especially when purchased on sale.

This kit comes with the material to make a steering wheel and gas pedal for the car, submarine, and a throttle grip to fly a plane. Building all these takes quite a few hours but it's still fun.

They take some time and patience so if doing with a real young child (mine were 5 and 4) you'll be doing most of the work. But once assembled, they had a lot of fun playing.

My three kids of all ages had fun building these. Easy to follow instructions. Games are a little lacking, but they enjoyed what they built. Seems to be of good quality so far.

This is so much fun. My son and I really enjoy building the LABO products, and then playing games with the fruits of our labor. If you have a Switch, try one of these. You will get hooked!

The building is very fun and lengthy. There is great depth of detail and there is a lot more to it than one would think. The gameplay is fun as well. My only criticism would be the finished builds takr up quite a bit of space. Overall I highly reccomend!

Great price at $19.99! My 11 year old son spent hours on this. He didn’t get frustrated or give up. He was very proud of himself. And so was I!

If you haven't tried Labo, this is the kit to start with. Some of the most fun building with some of the most fun games. Just bite the bullet and get it. Trust me.

I believe my kids had more fun putting this together (age 9-10) than playing with it (as is the case with most cardboard boxes).
They did play the games with the carboard creations for a few weeks but then have gone back to the better designed AAA games.
Every once in a while they will pull these out and play with them briefly but not too much staying power. I do wish they allowed you to play other racing games with the steering wheel.
Overall: I would still recommend it as the kids pretty much got their moneys worth putting it together and then the brief time they played with it and were very excited throughout.

Perfect game for STEM or STEAM fans.
My daughter had a blast building the cardboard Piece. The step by step crafting guide is easy to follow and building it is more then half the game.
The mini games you then play or ways you use the crafted pieces are really fun.
We just wish there was more to do. More game to play once you have build the pieces. It’s fun to go back and replay the mini games, but it would hold your attention for any long periods of time.
The nightmare is in storing all these massive cardboard pieces once build. We seriously have them in a large plastic tub just taking up space when not being used.
For those two reasons replayability and storage...it’s only a 4 on our end.

Labo Toy-Con: Vehicle Kit, is a great edition to the Labo line of products, the realism of the game is superb, the flying, driving and diving gives you an un-parallel look and feel of the real thing, The fun and challenge in building the steering wheel, flight stick and sub controller are great (younger fans may need a little adult supervision). The key concept works well and the transition from one vehicle to another is really cool, If you’re a Switch owner and enjoy the interaction that only it can offer then this Labo is for you

My oldest love building these kits. She takes the time to put it together. Love the idea but I did find one problem. After you build these kits, storing them will be an issue.

I purchased this item for my son on clearance. He was immediately drawn to this kit because of all the vehicles that were on box. Unfortunately, he was slightly disappointed that he was assembling the controls for the video game and not the actually vehicles. He got over that pretty quickly once he started playing the games with his completed projects. Considering this was on sale, it was good value for a fun afternoon of building and playing.

We bought this along with other Labo kits (VR and Robot) when they were on sale and we have absolutely no regrets. The kids loved assembling and playing with the kits. The on-screen assembly instructions were easy enough to where my kids never needed to ask for help. What's awesome is that the kits encourage the kids to be creative and make their own games using the Nintendo Switch Joycons motion controls and infrared sensors.

Coming out a fair bit after the release of the original Labo kits, this one expands greatly on many facets that the first two offered. For one, the interactive instructions are even more clear and concise than how they used to be presented, while also adding much more humor to it with the provided captions. The Toy-Cons they have you build are also much more complex, leaving you with the great feeling of accomplishment and wonder as you play with the end product. Speaking of playing, this game offers a lot of in terms of how to play with your newly built cardboard creations. The main game is a full Adventure mode that has you traversing across a huge island accomplishing a variety of different tasks from shooting various balloons as you fly around on an airplane to trying to knock a giant golf ball into a hole by driving into it. They also offer various different modes for racing, each of them ranging from simple for any age to full-blown cross-country races against time. This one also has the most offerings for multiplayer use, even with the just one of these kits purchased. Two players can explore the Adventure mode with one of them playing passenger with a rocket launcher on tow, an,d depending on the mode, up to four players can race against each other provided you have a Joy-Con for each player. Lastly, this game offers a variety of handy tutorials and ideas for you to create your own Toy-Con. This time around, they even let you program completely different ways to play all of the different modes, whether it's from your original cardboard controls or allowing yourself to play with just the regular Toy-Cons. This game offers fresh new takes and improvements from the original Labo kits and is a promising sign for future ones to come.
