Great hard drive

Great Little Hard Drive

It is both USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt in the connections. I use it with my MacBook Pro in the Thunderbolt connectivity. It is used both at home and on the road. There has been no problems in the month or so of use, and it has been quick enough to handle the mastering of large music files. Good Job Lacie!

Buss Powered Portable Rocks

The USB3 connection is a nice touch when I need to connect to a Mac that doesn't have Thunderbolt. Performance is great... Just wish it had two thunderbolt connections.

Reliable Hard Drive

Even though the do not have the power of the larger ones I usually buy, they are rugged and I find them reliable. The speed on them is fine and I even like the color of them.

Excellent external portable drive

Reduced my 160+ gb transfer time by at least two hours from my older 2.0 usb connection. Very durable case for folks with butter fingers :)

Best Workflow Ever!

I edit in Final Cut Pro X and use the Adobe Creative Cloud. All of my projects live on my rugged drives and move from laptop to MacPro for easy workflow. The Thunderbolt connection made it possible to edit and color correct 4K video on the fly. Thanks for a great project. I got my life back thanks to this new workflow.

If you are thinking about getting a lacie - go for the extra dollars and get the one with thunderbolt. super fast and well worth it!
