perfect to carry in backpack. Very durable works great with my mac pro. I would recommend for those on the go...

I had no problem hooking up to my IMac and backing up my system. I use a product called Super Duper for back up. First time it took 40 minutes for a complete back up. But now, it takes a minute or two whereas it used to take 30minutes with an older external usb drive. Seems very durable as well.

If you don't want your computer to get fried, use this little guy. It also is great to use for extra files that may otherwise clutter locally. It is really fast when using the convenient thunderbolt cable and it allows splitting the hard-drive for pc AND mac use.

This HD has been great so far, wish I bought a larger size! It has been very sturdy, works well with my iMac and Macbook Pro. I transfer CR2s and large movie files very quickly with this device using the Thunderbolt port. I have yet to try the USB 3.

This is the Hard Drive that Apple sells in their stores for the same price. It works well, but the price could be better.

I've worked with LaCie many times with projects ranging from high data transfers to partitions for my Mac. I'm still impressed at how reliable these hard drives are. Plus, the design scheme perfectly fit my backet's pocket. Well worth the expense.

I bought this to back up photos on a multi day trip. It transferred file fast and was secure packed in my shoulder bag. Only thing I wish it had was another thunderbolt port so I could daisychain it when I backed things up when I got home.

Use it to backup office files daily. Does so very quickly. I didn't like the plastic bumper and had read that it is not removable. But, happily it was. Looks much nicer on desk in silver case. Can re-apply bumper if take drive anywhere. Highly recommend.

Great external drive. Would buy another one for saving files, lots of space. Works great even if you put an OS on the drive and use it as a boot disk. I very much like the transfer rate of Thunderbolt, cuts the transfer time down by half when I used Firewire 800.
