Great hard drive just short of solid state

I was easily able to partition it so I could use it with the University's Mac's & my home PC. VERY fast, love the design, and great storage space. Great job!

Excellent Lacie Hard Drive

BEST LACIE EVER

The read/write speeds are unbelievably fast and that is crucial for my work as a video editor. I plan on getting at least 2-3 more of these once this one runs out of space.

Fast thunderbolt 1Tb portable HD.

Software set up an osx partition and a FAT PARTITION Very easy install. We are a movie production startup and use this for site work. Very fast video file transfer. 1-4gb files transfer in real time. Almost instantaneous in comparison to USB2.0 and faster than USB3.0

Good back up drive

Solid reliable drive

They hold up well (although I wouldn't test the 3.9 foot drop claim, they have stood up to being knocked around) and are reasonably fast. Some people have had problems with LaCie, I've always had good luck with their products. YMMV, I guess.

The thunderbolt is very much worth it, it works much quicker than a USB 3.0, but still I wish it had more room.

Best , Most Reliable Hard Drive on Market

What I found was that LaCie was the best out there. After having bad luck with WD and Seagate (both crashed), I decided to give it a try. So far so good. Built very well, and so far so good.
