    Excellent Strategy RPG

This package includes remakes of 2 classic 90s strategy games: Langrisser I (originally titled "Warsong" on the Sega Genesis) and Langrisser II (never before localized or released in the US). If you're a fan of strategy RPGs (such as Fire Emblem or Advance Wars) you will love this game. Gameplay is addictive and very satisfying. Artwork can be configured between classic 90s anime-style of the originals or the new remastered designs. Same goes for the soundtrack, which can be toggled between original genesis/mega drive or remastered. There is tons of content here, with multiple branching storylines for each game, providing a lot of replayability. My only complaints are with the in-game graphics, which look like a mobile game. Voice acting is only in Japanese (which is fine with me, but I am sure some people would prefer the option for an English dub). Price-point ($49.99 US at release) also seems a bit high for a budget remake of two 25+ year-old games. However, if you can get this game on sale or at a slight discount, it is definitely worth your time!

Originally most of these titles weren't released outside of Japan. One was on the Sega Genesis and renamed Warsong and maybe a couple more titles were released but not all of them. This is a remake/remaster of the first two ever Langrisser games. I like it! There's some fine customization for the commanders and troops you can used and has just the right amount of difficulty. Great to carry with you on the go with the handheld mode for your switch and easy to see things on the screen. If you like to be tactical with RPG elements then pick this up,

A great SRPG alternative to Fire Emblem

It's not as good as FireEmblem. Okay still with me? It's a great alternative to fire emblem The same style of tactical gameplay without the persona relationship aspect. These are remakes of older games modernized for the switch. You can hire mercenaries to protect your main characters and use them as an extension of the characters. The only downside to this game is no English Dub, but if you can overlook that it's a remarkable little strategy rpg.

    A Neat Sleeper Hit

I am not super familiar with the Langrisser franchise. Unknowingly, I've played Warsong on the Sega Genesis a few years ago and I've play Langrisser on the Dreamcast (which is more of a Diablo clone). This is a neat strategy JRPG akin to Fire Emblem and Shinning Force --especially Shinning Force. The remaster here is nice with crisp new graphics but all the same fun game play. This is a good game for new comers to the strategy RPG genre. It's challenging, but it's fairly simple in it's execution. This game sort of flew under the radar when it released and I'm surprised it wasn't a very limited edition, though I doubt there's as many prints of this as there are prints of a game like Pokemon Sword and Shield.

    A Strong Option

This is a fairly quick option and fairly fun strategy game. Now saying this it will feel a bit clunky because it is a remaster of older games so don't go in expecting a lot of features newer strategy games offer. But I would say for what it is it is fun and I think others that like this style of game will enjoy playing through this.

Satoshi urushihara being responsible for the character art is what turned me on to the series. A great alternative to fire emblem

Very similar to the early Fire Emblem series with straightforward strategy and not extremely complex character interactions of player development. A nice throwback to a simpler time.

Impressive Tactics with Some Dated Mechanics

The game gives players a more classic tactics experience. One similar to Advance Wars or older Fire Emblem. Though challenging, some of the harder levels make it a struggle to go through without the exact moves repeated with luck on one's side. The game is very hard to come by if one wishes for a physical variant of the game.

When compared to modern strategic RPGs, Langrisser I & II doesn’t stand out. Fans of the original may be delighted in seeing a classic refreshed and presented to a wider audience. There is alot of content in this game for you to explore but you really need to be into this series to enjoy it . I would give this one a try if you can catch it on sale.
