I had this lap desk for a year and half until it was destroyed by a leaking water pipe in my house. I repurchased it because I loved it so much, unfortunately, the quality has significantly reduced. The wooden ledge piece that acts as a stopper has already broken in less than a month. I am disappointed!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Love the wood top and cushioned section, my laptop is a little heavy, but really like the lap desk.
