My adult daughter has difficulty sitting at a desk due to an injury. She has a 17 in notebook which requires air circulation from the bottom, thus is not a laptop. Trying different solutions, magazines, books, piece of plywood, etc.. nothing really worked. I found this lap-caddy at BB and at first thought is too expensive even at $10 off. I finally broke down and bought it figuring if it did not work well I would return it. Well, this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. This holds a 17 inch notebook perfectly. It has a non-slip hard surface so the notebook stays in place and allows sufficient airflow just like a desk top would. It also has a mouse pad area large enough that works, and a slot to hold a cell phone. My daughter can sit in a large lounge chair with her legs and feet up and this caddy will balance perfectly on her lap. It has enough padding on the bottom to be comfortable and does not make her legs sore. If she has to get up, the lap-caddy is sturdy enough so it can just be lifted up with everything in place and just set aside. Best money spent on something that is truly functional and has been worth the cost.

I sometimes work at home and will work from my bed or couch. I needed something that would keep my legs from burning up! This was just what I was looking for! I like the spot for my cell phone too!

I needed something to act as a desk as my computer is set up in my room. I prefer to sit in bed and play and use this to hold both my keyboard and mouse plus my phone in the tray. It is perfect because it's not tied to anything so no matter how or where I want to sit to play I can. It's great with the wrist rests and phone holder. Couldn't ask for better. The size is absolutely perfect and it rests great everywhere! Must have item! Works good to for arts and crafts :)

Light weight, comfortable and the angled cell phone holder is pretty slick.

If you have to work at home and need space for your laptop, phone, and mouse, this has it all. It is relatively comfortable and, although I don't typically use one, I was surprised to find the wrist rest to be as helpful as it. I originally bought this for my daughter to use with her new MacBook Pro and had to get my own because I was borrowing hers too often. The travel handle is good for a car trip and fits nicely to work from the passenger seat.

I love that it has a cell phone holder. It has good grips for my laptop so I don’t feel like it’s going to fall off. I even had a cup in it and it didn’t fall over. It has plenty of room for my laptop and a notebook which is perfect. And best of all, I don’t burn my legs with my laptop anymore

This was a surprise birthday gift from my husband! I love this lap desk. It is wide enough to fit a variety of laptop sizes, has a large area for using the mouse, a wrist guard and a holder to fit most phones (my iPhone 6 Plus has plenty of room to spare) and pads underneath to keep the desk at a slight angle (and provides for comfort). I am not sure if they make these for people who are left-handed, but it would be worth researching.

This lap desk is very cool! Nice size, holds my MacBook Air, iPhone, and I can use the mouse if I don't want to use the trackpad. It is comfortable and raises the laptop off my legs for better viewing and typing. The gel pad is comfortable and extends along the entire desk. The non-slip surface for the mouse is nice. And overall the lightweight material used makes this an ideal lap desk.

Very comfortable and does easily fit a 15.9 in gaming laptop with plenty of room for a full sized gaming mouse. Now I can easily work or game from the recliner or couch. It is also very comfortable for long work or gaming sessions and doesn’t get hot at all even while gaming

I don't know much else to say other than it works as intended and it's comfortable. I love the built in mouse pad, which is what sold me on this. I have a 14in laptop, with a 15.6in fan pad that all fits onto this desk and still allows me to use the mouse pad well. It's the perfect size.

This lap desk is firm and super comfortable to sit in your lap and hold your lap top. There’s even a place to hold your cell phone.

Overall, there aren't that many choices for 17 inch laptops. I have an Alienware 17 r3 and this fits like a glove. There is literally no room left on this lap desk once it's sitting on it. There's just enough room for the mouse on it's integrated mouse pad (not removable) and there's a handy cell phone holder just above the mouse pad. Ideally, the phone holder would be more useful if it were a little wider to accomodate my note 4 with case but without the case on, it's a nice fit. Honestly,, though, i would rather just get rid of that and put in a calculator. I use it as a pen holder. The wrist rest is just OK, it's about the same height as my laptop so it doesn't do much good. The cushions on the bottom do it's job and it does stay relatively cool. The material on top is a vinyl type covering that sort of resembles carbon fiber. It takes minor nicks pretty well but over time, it's been getting scratched up due to the weight of my laptop. The wood is thin, yet, strong enough to keep from flexing. Overall, not a bad product at all. When you have a huge laptop, beggars can't be choosers. I'd definitely recommenced this.

Bought this because I use my laptop on my lap and it's great. Much more comfortable and cooler. Side mouse pad is great too.

Bought as a “just in case” item to go with new laptop, this is lightweight but durable. Used many times and no complaints!

I absolutely love these lap desks and they are a great for even huge 17 inch laptops. My wife and I use these and they are very sturdy. I had to replace one after about a year just due to the pcs heat but was more then happy due to all the use I got out of my product. Great buy!

I bought a lap top & needed something more than my lap for my new computer. This lap desk is large enough for my computer, has a mouse pad & place for my phone. I use it for more than just my computer desk. It's very sturdy & portable. I love it & glad I made the purchase. Well worth the money!!
