The Blu-ray is stunning, both audio and video! Colors are deep and vibrant. Surround sound is crisp, clear and used to good dramatic effect. Bass is strong. The soundtrack uses many well known 60’s British Invasion band but they’re playing for the most part fairly obscure tunes. All very enjoyable. In fact after seeing the movie I tracked down the soundtrack on vinyl. Fantastic film! Highly recommended!

A modern-day Hitchcock thriller. The story takes place simultaneously in the '60s and the present day, some scenes are simply jaw-dropping, leaving you wondering how they created this movie. Anya Taylor-Joy once again is mesmerizing, you just can't keep your eyes off of her, and you just keep wanting more. I highly recommend this film.

If you love early ‘60’s British fashion and music, this one will get your attention right away. Eloise is an attractive young naïve girl who lives with her grandmother. She has aspirations of becoming a fashion designer. She has been accepted to one of the top fashion schools in London and moves there. Once there, she does not get along with her roommates and branches off to live on her own and that’s where things get interesting. She begins to live vicariously through another young girl named Sandie (Ana Taylor-Joy) from the ‘60’s London setting. The lyrics from Petula Clark’s Downtown “The Lights are Much Brighter There” come to life as she follows Sandie through the streets and clubs of London hoping to become just like her. But as the movie progresses we find that Sandie really didn’t have it as good as Eloise thought, and that the horrors that affected Sandie come home to haunt Eloise in a brutal fashion (excuse the pun). The movie’s presentation is hypnotic; full of cinematic glamour and visual delights. As Eloise discovers hard truths toward the end, the tone of the movie changes dramatically and makes you realize you should have seen it coming.

Eggers 3rd outing as director reaffirms that he is one of the most talented directors currently making movies today. This movie was heavy on visuals, mythology but could have used more action. Regardless it is a beautiful movie worth a watch. 4k looks great!

Great Price During the Father's Day Sale

I ordered this online because of the low Father's Day prices. The 4k version was much cheaper than the Blu-Ray/Dvd by one dollar. The Blu-Ray was reduced by a dollar off its original retail price, the 4k was $13 cheaper! I watched about half of the film but I like watching the extras more!

I would rate this movie a solid 7.5/10, it's not the greatest movie, but it's really solid and well done. There are some truly beautiful shots. Similarly to Baby Driver, music plays a huge role in this movie. All in all, a solid outing from one of my favorite directors.

Edgar Weight finest psychological thriller he made, and noir as well. Very stylistic and beautiful cinematography. Thomasin McKenzie was amazing in this especially Anya-Taylor Joy. It could be confusing at first but soon it’ll make sense, well to most people.

This movie actually surprised me in so many different ways. It starts out very happy, then turns into a sort of horror back to the future, and grows very dark and a bit scary. Pick this one up and give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
