This is my second LePan Tablet. My first one the TC970 was so good my wife decided I should update it. The new LePan II has a faster processor, takes rough handling without a whimper and with Android it is 10 times easier to use than an IPAD. My friends have IPAD's at about 2 times the cost and aren't happy that this Tablet out performs them. Get one you won't regret it. Battery is excellent. I get about 24 hours on a charge. You can pay more but you won't get better.

I purchased this tablet specifically to read sheet music and as a replacement for my (paper) library. My 2 specifications were: a screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio and Android OS. I have found all the apps I need so far, and the performance of the tablet is very good (I do not use it for gaming or much media, apart from Netflix on occasion, which it handles just fine). One drawback is that the speaker volume is not very loud. Also, the tablet does not turn on once in a long while (can be turned on by depressing a button with a pin at the back, you don't lose any data). The tablet looks great, is easy to use, and is great value for the price.

Great tablet for under $250. This was the only full size tablet I found for that price that wasn't a piece of junk. It responds very well and it looks very sleek. Several people have already asked me where I got it, and can they get one too. Its not perfect, and I'm hoping le pan will support the jelly bean update soon, but I'm extremely satisfied with this tablet.

My le pan tablet came in the mail after 4 days of waiting for it. When I received my tablet it was not working. I called the manufacture and they couldn't help me, so I took it to best buy to see if the geek squad could fix it...they proved them selves to be useless so I left best buy with my tablet still broken! The next day at work I took the tablet apart it was faulty manufacturing. I fixed the problem my self! Me some one who knows nothing about tablets and now it works just fine. The only problem I have is I wish it had a better spell check. The speakers are awesome when i opened it up they even looked impressive. They are louder then the ones on my old Samsung tablet that was 2 yrs old. One other thing I don't like is that it has no rear facing camera

I use mine mainly as an e-reader which it does very well. My only real complaint is sometimes it does not turn on with the first try of the power button. I have only had to use the reset button one time. For value and price it is hard to beat

After what seems like a small eternity searching through reviews and scanning spec sheets and price point plotting this tablet was well worth the wait. That wait is one thing that made me decide to get this particular item. Its in demand for a reason Pros 1)It's fast. I use it to view large pdf files and its faster than company laptop. 2) It's powerful. On the road i use it as a media player and its doing hd videos just fine no issues. The speakers are not perfect but can hear just fine cruising down the road at 75mph. 3) It's well priced. I was looking at a few brand named tablets with similar specs and this one beat them all. 4) Its well built. It has a nice solid feel to it, and has a nice solid form factor. 5) It is loaded with features. Been using the gps to travel all over Texas on back roads and small towns.. its perfect for that. Cons 1) Does not come with ICS. Not enough to loose a star, but would be nice. 2) Limited accessories. It not using standard 30 pin connector apparently. Other thoughts: There is a good webpage with a forum i have already found useful. http://www.forum.lepanlife.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=8 Overall I rate this 5 stars the few small issues I have with it are not so much even with the tablet as they are with android.

Best tablet out for the $$$!!!

The other review is not for this tablet, it is for the Android 2.3 Le Pan TC970. This is the Le Pan II with Android HONEYCOMB and it is AMAZING!!! I just got this powerhouse yesterday and it is everything and more. Dual core processor and 1GB of ram makes this tablet incredibly responsive. I have owned both Android and Apple products and have always leaned towards Android because of all the things you can do with Android that Apple does not allow. For $220 less than an IPad, you can't beat this tablet! I added an 8GB minisd card I already had so it now has 16GB total, I will probably eventually get a 32GB card for this monster. Silky smooth performance with many apps running at once. There is no rear camera but come on, who is taking pictures with a tablet?!? If I need to take a picture I grab my EVO. There is a front camera that is 2 megapixels which is better than most other phones and tablets, I have taken a few pics with it and the pics look fine, especially for voice chat. I have Google Voice on this tablet too and I get all my text messages, voicemails, and can even make outgoing calls with another app!!! Movies play great, and the speakers blow away any laptop's that I have heard. When I heard that this tablet was available I checked Bestbuy.com hourly until I saw that it was available and jumped at the opportunity and I must say, for the price this is by far the best electronic device I have ever purchased! I also have installed a Super Nintendo emulator and hooked up a Wiimote through bluetooth! AMAZING!!! I feel like I could go on and on about this tablet and I've only owned it for about 24 hours! Only thing I haven't tried is the HDMI, there is no HDMI port but the website says that it is capable so I am expecting that a peripheral will be available in the near future. It will also be upgradeable to Android 4 when it is released. The device itself is of top notch quality, and I prefer the size to the more wide screen Android tablets that are available. The screen is bright, I would give it a solid 8, not quite as good as the Samsungs and again, the speakers are rocking! I got a Targus IPad case for it too which fits almost perfectly!

Fantastic tablet for the price. This is my 2nd Le Pan tablet and they hold up well and are a great value for 1/3 or less the cost of an IPad.

    Excellent Tablet

The Good: Le Pan II is an impressive tablet. Very easy to use and set up. In case you're wondering if it's as nice as the iPad? It is. Like the iPad, it has a 4-to-3 aspect ratio, 9.7 inch IPS screen (same one used on iPad 1 and 2), solid build quality, weight, and speed. The Bad: scratches easily from the back, does not have HDMI port, a USB port, a rear-facing camera, latest Android OS. Note: if you have or are having problems connecting to google play and other apps do the following: 1. Go to Settings 2. Select Bacupk & reset 3. Select Factory data reset 4. Follow the set-up screen instructions This will reset everything and fix the network issue. I was disappointed at first when I was not able to use the apps. I was ready to return it, but with a little patience I was able to solve the issue.

    Worth every penny

For the price, this tablet is worth every single penny and I dare say, MORE! A HUGE 9.7" screen to watch HD youtube videos and movies, the entire Android Market to play around with (tho some apps don't work). It sports a very fast 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor and, Android 3.2 HoneyComb upgradeable to 4.0. and much much more. I could go on and on about the features. This tablet is very solidly built too. It does not feel flimsy or cheap at all. Speakers are suprizingly loud. I've just noticed when my sister turned the volume to max while playing Pandora. Touch screen is very responsive and reacts instantly, and it can run multiple apps w/out skipping a beat. I was hesitant to buy it from a company I haven't heard about, but I'm very pleased with the results. The only problem with the Le Pan II was....FINDING ONE!! I've searched eBay, Bestbuy, Circuit City, CompUSA, Amazon, Newegg and everywhere else the actual Le Pan website distributed the product to. When I finally found one, I jumped on it immediately. The battery life is pretty beefy too.

    Awesome tablet

This tablet has impressed me and that is no easy task. It is as fast as any tablet on the market right now. The screen is very crisp and responsive. Wifi has no issues connecting for me as I travel around connecting to multiple different networks. The tablet itself has a very well built feel to it, not all plastic like alot of the tablets of today. I like the screen format as it makes web browsing and reading easier than a widescreen one. The android is supposed to be upgraded to Ice Cream 4.0 in march from what I hear. So forget the people that say that it said it is supposed to have it now as they clearly cannot read. In short I take this thing everywhere using it for remote control (teamviwer and vnc), email, browsing and document editing. I have alot of experience with mobile devices tablets, phones and laptops and the best thing I can say is that it has imppresse me a great deal so much that I wrote this review not something I usually waste my time with. And yes I did this with my Le Pan 2.

Please do not buy this tablet. The internet connection is horrible. Streaming of videos especially in HD is so slow. It will take you at least double the time to watch anything! After two weeks of attempting fixes as recommended I sent it back!!! I then purchased a samsung galaxy 2 tablet and love it!!!!!

    Beautiful tablet

I have this tablet for a week. The duo core 1.2 GHz/1Mb RAM gives an AnTuTu benchmark score of 6910. The solid built design is beautiful with the chrome sides and the back aluminum case, which protects from heat dissipation. Boot time is fast, screen is big, bright and colorful. I haven't had any issues with WiFi connection, it downloads very fast from Google Play, and Google Maps app runs smoothly. GPS and Bluetooth work well, front camera is good (haven't tried Skype yet), gaming is fast, Ebook reading is nice, battery life is good (at least 7hr). Internet browsing is fast, I am using Boat Browser which is Flash compatible. This is a tablet for the budget conscious without compromising performance and design.

    Great tablet

I have had this tablet for 10 days now. So far I am impressed. I've had a first generation iPad since it was first released and my cell phone is an iPhone 4. This tablet performs better (CPU speed and memory) than my iPad which crashes frequently since the last iOS upgrade. Side by side, there is no noticeable difference between the screen size, image quality, brightness, contrast, etc. between the two devices. It came with Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). I have not rooted it, side loaded any applications, or tinkered with it in any way. In the 10 days I have had it, I have charged the battery twice. I use the device 1.5 to 2 hours a day. I also purchased a 32GB SD Micro memory card bringing the total memory to 40GB. I have some movies in MV4 format that I play on the the iPad. I copied these to the SD card. At first a message popped up saying it didn't know how to play the MV4 file. I changed the extensions to MP4 and they play perfectly. If you haven't heard of HandBrake, Google it. It's a nice tool to convert DVDs to files that play on portable devices. I easily configured both my Gmail and corporate Microsoft Exchange mail accounts. All the images I have stored in Picasa Web Albums magically appeared in the photo gallery. I have downloaded dozens of apps from Google Play and/or the Amazon app store. All run just fine. It found and connected to my wireless router with ease. It shows a half dozen other wireless routers (my neighbors I assume) which neither my iPhone nor iPad detect. Pros: Has a camera, SD Slot, HDMI output (which I will probably never use), auto brightness adjustment. Cons: Volume button is difficult to find. Google Play doesn't have as many apps as the Apple App Store and there aren't as many Android apps specific to tablets as there are for iPads. Summary: For ~$250 (including the SD card) I got a great performing tablet with 40GB of storage which is comparable if not better than the 16GB iPad for which I paid $600. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the volume button and because it did not come with headphones. Side note: I purchased the Blurex leather case/stand for the Le Pan II and it fits perfectly.
