Great toy to grow with a child

    |
    Posted .

I bought this toy for my granddaughter, age 3, and had a wonderful time exploring it with her. i know it will give her many years of fun and learning. We liked that we could buy new apps every year appropriate to her age that would stimulate and teach her new concepts. The original thought was also to keep her off her mothers computer before some serious damage was done to it, so we call it her computer.

my son jameel learns new words and stories everyday, he loves it he asks for his Leapfrog before he asks for his iPad. He is having fun with it as well as learning from it. My family is very happy for Jameel and his new learning equipment.

    Requires additional purchases

My three year old loves having his own tablet, and it has physically held up to a few tantrums already! However, you really need to purchase additional games for it to be fun. The tablet comes with several demo games, but they are very short. So when planning on spending the money on this tablet, also budget in leap pad games as well.

    Nice tablet for beginners

We purchased this tablet for our two year old because he wanted to be like his brother who is always playing on his android tablet. Obviously we weren't going to buy a two year old a "real" tablet so we bought this. It's nearly indestructible and has taken multiple drops with no problem. And it's a huge improvement over the older leap pads. It has wifi and an internal rechargeable battery. The only downside is you have to purchase anything you put on it, apps, videos, etc. So by the time all is said and done you could be sitting on a 500 dollar children's tablet that he will eventually grow out of. Otherwise we're very happy with it.

Purchased for our four year old granddaughter. Had to go to another store for the games, Best Buy didn't have any at the time of purchase. She seems to really like it.

    Fun to Play With

I play with it with my 4 year old often. It's great. I don't have to worry about her watching something inappropriate on youtube. I have control over the device. It's easy for her to operate. It's pretty :) Wish we had the purple one because girly colors are my favorite she just wasn't patient :D and that's ok. But way better than any other tablet for sure. I have experienced a few glitches on it that I've been able to fix through google. If you experience these issues, hold down the down toggle and home button at the same time and should fix, maybe the on/off button too, cant remember. Battery life is long. We take it on car rides. Cool to take to places where you have to wait like the dmv. Keeps them busy. I bought the Best Buy warranty too which is a good thing to have.

    Great Durability and Education

This new leapfrog platinum tablets was some thing my god daughter and her brother wanted for Christmas and I just had to get it. The tablet is well made and durable for kids. Very user friendly and it provided hours of engaging fun for both. I don't we heard a peep out of them once open. The set up is pretty easy and there is definitely room to grow as the kids get older. The games are fun but also teaching and educating at the same time which is a plus. Highly recommended.

My 2 year old and 4 year old both received a LeapPad for Christmas. They fought over the last one constantly so everyone got their own this time. They had an older version before and I decided to upgrade hoping that this version has a more durable screen. The older model screen cracked twice. I was able to find discount codes for the online/download games at half price on Christmas morning. My girls both love watching videos on YouTube constantly since their last Leappad broke and I realized how much I appreciate the game. Instead of mindless video watching they're actually learning shapes, number sequence, letters, etc.

Great Tablet to keep my kids entertained

Great Tablet to keep my kids entertained and occupied. The games you purchase and the ones that comes with the tablet is great, I only wish they allowed online surfing, like youtube for kids and the ability to add non leap frog apps, like abc mouse. with these improvements they can take over the kid tablet market. These things are durable the stylus broke but my kids perfer using their fingers anyway.

    Great Product!

This product is great for my nephews with lots of learning tools - the only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because the pre-loaded games are very basic and mostly demos. If you want full games you need to buy them for $20 each.

    So Far so Good

Got this for my 3 year old birthday. She seems like she really enjoys it. Was a little confusing for me. But she seems like she figuring it out. Which makes me look bad lol. purchased so she can learn her colors, letters and numbers. Seems to be working. I can't give it a 5 due to the fact the stylus pen fell apart in first few days. And I have only had it for less then 30 days. Will see what happens. In 6 months

    Durable, Easy to Use

My Toddler really likes this learning pad. He loves the games, taking photos, and drawing. It's a great device to hand him in the car or in church and know that he'll be entertained for a while. We commonly use our iPad for our toddler as well, but there is definitely a need for both as ipad are better for tv shows and movies (and free games). However , the ipad isnt as durable so the leappad is our first choice.

    Broad age range appeal

I have four daughters 8, 7, 2 (and a bun in the oven). This product is a welcomed "free-time" activity to reinforce educational concept we are teaching in homeschool. Each girl is easily able to adapt the activity (which can be downloaded via WIFI!) to their learning level. It is challenging enough, and it offers the current popular characters which makes learning seem more fun.

Very easy to set up and also easy for 3-year old to use... toddler spends time with her programs and never tires or bores - unit is well built, strong and durable... having survived drops and liquids too. gave it 4stars for pricing which is a bit high but overall a very good product.

    Good learning tool

Easy set up and download. We thought this came with more learning games but only had a couple. You must purchase games or videos etc. which are fairly expensive. It is great for 5 year old who enjoys any electronic gadget but we have a little more control over what he is seeing & learning with this device. I would suggest buying protective cover & case.

We have had three of these items now. The are great for younger kids. We have only had three due to loosing one and the other one just was worn out with them playing with it so much we had to up grade. It is very educational and you can down load many programs to this product. Does not need wifi to be used!

    My toddler LOVED it

My toddler loved it. He had It since he was 1. It got lost in him moving around and I plan on buying him either yhis one again or the Epic. My biggest complaint is the camera quality sucks and sometimes it can be blotchy. But, a child his age couldn't care less.
