My daughter was thrilled to receive leappad 2 for her birthday but was not able to work the games as well as she would like Maybe its because she is only 3 years old. .. but I have tried many different games.. which added up in pricing. It is durable.. but I think I pad is better.

For Christmas, my father brought this for my 4 yr old daughter. She loves it she loves all the built-in games it comes with, and downloading off the internet. I also brought a game for her. She can't put it down. I love it because its educational, something to keep them busy while your busy with dinner, appointments, etc. The only thing I notice and I hope they improve it for the next generation is the battery life. I already put 8 batteries in the game they all went dead less than 2 hours. I don't know if my batteries was any good but I know for sure one pack was new. Only if it had the option to charge up like any other Ipad only batteries use for on the go. Until than it uses batteries. Overall its a great product and I would recommend this for any parents with children's.

I bought two of these.. one for my godson and another for my friends daughter. My godson has been playing games on his moms iphone from a young age so the LeapPad was very easy for him to use and navigate through. However, my friends daughter had no idea what she was doing and it was difficult. The battery dies very quickly which is kind of a bummer, but overall it is a nice thing to have for the kids.

My 4 year old has had the leap pad for about 6 months now, and she loves it. The learning games are really fun and educational. She drops it often and it's not broken yet. The battery life isn't great, but I don't mind her having to put it away sometimes. All in all its a good toy

Purchased as a gift. Very well made and terrific educational system. Children will spend hours of time playing but actually can learn at the same time.

My son loved his Leappad2 for the first day when it actually worked. He asked me to put a video on it, but the video won't play. I put it on my daughter's Leappad2, and it worked fine. Great, now my kids can fight over the same pad. Leapfrog customer service has been HORRIBLE. I've spent at least 1 1/2 hours on the phone, and the problem still isn't fixed. It's like they are on auto-pilot and don't even hear what you say! Very disappointing, Leapfrog. I would probably give this 4 or 5 stars if your product wasn't defective, and if your customer service wasn't useless. Battery life is also terrible. Save your $.
