Leeo has worked as described. From testing to it to when my smoke detectors actually did go off. The iOS app is very easy to use and read for the temp and humidity levels and love that I can easily change the color of Leeo when it doubles as a nightlight. Lemme see here, the ability to see the temperature and humidity of your home remotely. The ability to change the color of it's night light and have it turn off when a room is lit. The ability to listen to water alarms and fire alarms when you're away from your house and have a centralized system call you and play back the alarm (and to have it call ANOTHER contact if you don't acknowledge the alert!) This is basically an automated home-sitter and it gets EVERYTHING right. I've owned two of these and am absolutely floored at it's utility and price point. Gets dinged one star for not having an open API for Linux-programmer-type-folks, but stunningly perfect product for the everyman and everywoman. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I read about this in my local newspaper and it was referencing if you had a pet at home alone this would alert you if there was a fire or CO alert. I don't have a pet at home, but felt this was a really good tool for any home owner. My CO alert worked first time setting up but it turned out my smoke detector needed to be replaced and now all is working. This also gives you alerts if you humidity is too low.

Very neat idea - one little device that can listen for all your CO and smoke detectors and alert you via text/phone. Installation and setup was very easy - it connected to my home wifi and was able to detect 6 smoke detectors and 2 CO detectors spread across my home... about 3500 sq ft including the basement. The LED programmable nightlight is cool and makes it look very nice. Cons: The temperature reading I get from it is consistently 4-5 deg below the actual. Contacted support - doesn't seem to be a way to calibrate it. The nightlight seems to be on most of the time except when we have bright sunshine outside. Indoor lighting is not enough for the light sensor.. it needs to be more sensitive.

This is a simple device, but saves you a lot of time and money in the long run! Instead of having to replace all of your smoke detectors (almost 10 in my case) with costly "smart" detectors, just add a Leeo! The Leeo listens for smoke and carbon monoxide alerts from any traditional detector and reports to you, contacts or emergency contacts. The added LED color changing night light is an added bonus! It also enables you to see the temperature and humidity in the house as well.

Let me start off my saying I've tested this device at least 50 times, and it's worked flawlessly. It even knows the difference between a smoke detector and a carbon monoxide alarm! You can set up emergency contacts for the "app" to call if you don't respond to the push notification alert. When an alarm is triggered, here's what happens: The alarm listens for a repeating "high pitched" tone from a smoke detector, when triggered, the light surrounding the device blinks red at full brightness, you get a notification on your device telling you an alarm was set off, the time it was set off, and it even records the alarm gives you a preview of what it heard. Upon hearing the recording, you are able to tell the app if it was a false alarm, or if it's a real emergency. If it's a real emergency, it texts you the number of your local fire department. IF for some reason you don't respond to the notification, you get a phone call. The automated call says something like "Your Leo Smart Alert has detected what sounds to be like a (smoke detector/carbon monoxide alarm) near the Kitchen (for example). This was the sound that triggered the alarm: __(the recorded sound)__. If you think this was a false alarm, press 1, if you think this is a real emergency press 2". Even if you're away from home, and it WAS a false alarm or a test, it can reset the alarm from anywhere back to the "listening state. And once you set up your emergency contacts, if you don't respond to the notification OR miss the phone call, it will then go down the list of your emergency contacts and call the entire list TWO times. Even someone on the list can listen in and judge for you if it was a false alarm, and THEY can reset the alarm, just through the simple phone call. This device is a REALLY amazing start into the future, and for this device to be fairly new, I haven't seen a single flaw. I'll definetly be buying more for my home and my family's houses. They recommend at least one per floor. I'm putting two per floor on each side of the house to make sure all of the detectors can be heard equally. Buy it! You won't be disappointed!

Read about this in the news paper less than a week ago and found it at Best Buy. It was recommended for someone who has a pet left alone in the house during the day. I don't have a pet but was just as concerned about having a fire or CO alert when I was away from home. It was easy to set up and add contact numbers for alerts. I had a question and was able to get it answered quickly online from a very helpful Leeo representative. It even tells me temp and humidity in my home. I can't say enough about this product!

I use the Leeo for my vacation home to keep tabs on the temperature and humidity when I'm away. Great for letting me know the heater is working during the winter. Leeo customer service and R&D department has been great helping to work out the kinks from early development to now. I rely on this product and trust it as as well. A less expensive alternative for remote monitoring.

The LEEO is a great product. It monitors both temperature and humidity (and has both 24 hour and 7 day graphs) as well as smoke and CO alarms. Very easy to set up. The nightlight function is very cool, with it's infinite color wheel. The item comes very well packaged, similar to Apple products. I liked it so much, I purchased a second one for my basement.

This is a good concept & one of the few devices available to connect your traditional smoke/CO/water sensors to a zwave system (using IFTTT as middle man) I have tested it somewhat & seems reliable but being dependent on sound instead of hard wired to other sensors is a bit of a gamble. It is a great night light & has a temperature / humidity sensor but I can't get that data through its IFTTT channel, only thru the native app.

Illuminates in a lot of Colors and you can adjust the brightness with the app (needs wifi) you can get notifications over the app for humidity level and fire in case of activation fire alarm (you need fire alarms) I have two one in the living room and my bedroom show live temperature and humidity I have been using for months now no problem at all high recommend for a fair price deal of the day sample

The Leeo unit is very easy to set up so that it listens for your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. The unit synced easily with my iPhone so that I get alerts wherever I am if on of the detectors goes off. I can also check humidity and temperature at home from wherever I am with my iPhone. The nightlight feature is awesome as the brightness can easily be adjusted and you can choose from an almost unlimited number of colors for the light. I have recommended the Leeo unit to many of my friends and family.

Good product works just like it suppose to. Was going to buy the Nest Protect, no need since I have Leeo.

This is an awesome. A great alternative to work with existing smoke alarms / carbon monoxide detectors.

I was looking for a way to monitor my smoke detectors while away from home without having to purchase a Nest. This works great. Placed in center of my house and it can register all smoke detectors on first and second floor. And I love that there is no monthly fee! Just a one time purchase price.

Device monitors temp and humidity. We also have it set up to monitor all our smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and water sensors. Device will notify you if any of the above alarms sound. Easy to set up and access. We installed 2 Leeo's, upstairs and downstairs. Nightlights are a nice extra, particularly with adjustable intensity and color.

Get this if you need to know what's going on in your home when you are away. I love this product and can't wait to see what else this company has in store for the future. It will notify you if your fire alarm, water alarm or Co alarm goes off and you are not home with the app. It;s also a night light if you want to use it and it can be set in many different colors. Oh yeah and it will tell you the temp of your home so with the app.

Great product - does exactly what it says it will. Lets you check humidity and temperature via a phone app, and dials out when it hears a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm. Interestingly, it's so sensitive that a distant truck backing up outside (which sounded almost identical to my smoke alarm) triggered a dial-out on the phone warning system (and an app notification on my phone.) If the product had an open API (to poll temperature or humidity) via REST on the local LAN, I'd give it a full five stars, but Leeo seem a bit guarded around the unit's functionality. Their relative silence on an open API may make sense as the unit has a microphone and could represent a pretty attractive attack vector for hackers. Long story short, for $29, it's a smoking value for those seeking a quick turnkey temp/humidity/alarm notification system.

This popped up as a "Deal of the Day" and I had a $5.00 reward certificate getting ready to expire so I thought I would give it a try. I do use it as a night light but find myself checking the temperature in the house from miles away. We just purchased a portable air conditioner (look for that review soon) so this helps me tell if it is cooling the house when we aren't there

I live in a 1400 sq ft house and there was really no need to have an extra notification when i am home since i could hear the alarms. I needed an alarm that would alert me when i was not home. The few seconds or minutes matters in a fire and if i could have an early alert system it will be great. Saw this system on sale in Best Buy and it was a no brainer. Setup was easy, and it does what it was supposed to do. The only thing that got me concern was the heat that this little unit give out. After running it for less than an hour, the unit was burning up. That was the only concern i saw with this unit and overall so far everything seems to be working fine.
