Cat kung fu warrior is....the one!

I really didn't know much about this franchise when I bought this game. It turns out that this game has a long history and that this iteration for Switch is a very polished, overhauled anniversary edition. I started this game and couldn't get into the quirky characters and premise. Rather quickly, the game grabbed a hold with a quick, eased progression. It combines a great control in the environment, only hindered by the camera. The camera will drive you insane at times, the platforming can prove difficult, because of this. It remains fun, changing, explorative and challenging throughout. You will go from tasks, to fights, land to water, swamp to volcano. Lots of exploration. Some may complain of its easiness, or silliness, but this is meant to be fun, so give it a chance. Well worth the price on switch.

    Revisiting a Childhood Game

Playing this game for the first time in over 10 years was a throwback but honestly I do not like the "new" graphics. Everything looks too shiny and bubbly compared to the original. The game is also not as fun as I had when I was a kid but that's normal for a lot of these remakes in my opinion. Look up some more detailed video reviews of this game to figure out if its something you want to play.

    Zelda in baby form?

This game has a very familiar structure that anyone who has played a Zelda game will notice. It’s a bit more light hearted and has a larger focus on platforming set into the shoes of an older Zelda style of game. Is it going to push you as a gamer? No. Would it be a great entry for anyone younger who hasn’t played a Zelda game? Yes! I would even argue that if you don’t mind your games being a little on the easy side that you should try it out and just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. Everything is voiced which is amazing, but the talent behind the voices is a bit hit and miss. Still, I would recommend this to all casual players!

    A Product of its Time

A rather unremarkable title from a bygone time of 3D platformers with cartoon mascots. It’s been given a new life on the Switch, but unless you are a huge fan of this type of game, or perhaps played this title when you were young, it’s probably not for you.

    Old school platformer

This have is fun but really cheesy. It's hard to get into it. Plus the camera is horrible. The graphics look good and sharp. It's fun if you give it a chance but it's hard to keep playing. The voice acting is horrible as well.

A great remaster for a very obscure platformer

This game debuted on the playstation 2 but i'm sure not to many people remember it. Now its a great time to play it with its remastered graphics and tighter controls, the anniversary edition was re-released on playstation 4 and the wii U but the switch is a better portable edition so why not.

unexpected Game experience Legend of Kay

    |
    Posted .

As i was looking for games on the switch i notice one game that caught my eyes on, and decided to give it a shot. at the time i was looking for something for my sister's birthday as i was on vacation during that time. When i got back home my sister wanted me to experience this and as result i did not know what to expect. I sat down, gave this game a chance with a completely open mind, and what i had experience throughout this game. little did i know this was not what i expected as a result, i felt very conflicted, but never in my life did i ever drop a controller, and walked away completely from this game. to top it off i had no idea this game existed in the first place until later on that i am not only shocked that this game blew my mind in the most conflicting way possible by this game, and that somehow has a fan base in another country. This remastered version that was base on the PS2 as well as it did get a Nintendo DS release, for a rating that is E10+ this game should not be for younger viewers, and should be more for adults as a M Ratting. As i was playing the game, this has racial stereotypes as the voice acting were trying so hard that in the most offensive ways possible to how bad the voice acting was throughout the game, the camera when moving around was so bad it gave me such a bad headache that i had no clue what was going on, the story made no sense what so ever, and everything else in this game just made me feel like i was dumb throughout my experience. for those who like this game all power to you, but for those who had an unexpected experience that made make others conflicted with mix emotions not knowing how to feel, i recommend skipping out.

    Solid, if unremarkable action-platformer

    |
    Posted .

THQ has a tendency to port some of their classic games into newer game consoles. The Legend of Kay, for instance, has been on every imaginable console—and it's a fun low budget title if you haven't played it. Still, it faces stiff competition against newer Switch platformers like Mario Odyssey and Mario Maker.
