I bought this item as used acceptable condition. When I received the item it looked almost brand new with the papers and everything that came from the factory included The charger still had the plastics on it. It looks like somebody open this package maybe decided that they didn't want it and sent it right back. As far as this particular variation of this device I plan on using SteamOS. I had another one with the same RAM and processor and with steam OS it was amazing. I have a laptop for playing my AAA titles at higher resolution and higher frame rate so this is mainly for my backlog and indie games but it will play AAA games at a playable frame rate if you need to play them on the go. The best comparison I have for this would be that it's like a beefed up steamed deck with a better screen.

First off I owned a Steam Deck and LeGo gen 1. Mostly wanted this guy for the better screen and the slightly better performance to play certain games a bit better). The screen did not disappoint whatsoever. This device is a bit on the heavy side but that doesn't bother me at all. Battery life varies depending on the game but its definitely a massive improvement over the first Legion Go device. If your willing to invest in the cost of this device, you wont be disappointed. I did upgrade my SSD with a 4tb and was super easy to install. Having this made it easy to install a ton of games and emulators.

A fantastic, if flawed, handheld PC

As a long-time PC user who later switched to Mac, I found myself missing the games and capabilities unique to PC. Enter the Legion Go 2—a portable PC gaming device that, at first glance, is such a novel, fantastic idea. It combines the flexibility of a PC with the portability of a handheld console. The highs: The screen is simply outstanding. Regardless of specs or performance metrics, the real estate and quality are something that must be seen to be fully appreciated. I also enjoy the quality, as well as the detachable controllers, reminiscent of the Nintendo Switch. The addition of a small built-in mouse pad is a surprisingly useful touch. The lows: If you’re looking for a performance powerhouse, this isn’t it. While it handles many newer AAA games well, it’s not designed for sustained heavy workloads. Battery life is limited—expect around two hours (conservatively) with demanding applications. Additionally, some may find the device somewhat cumbersome. Be prepared for some software bugs that are hopefully rectified by future updates. Bottom Line: It’s expensive, imperfect, and probably unnecessary… yet somehow I can’t stop loving it. Not a powerhouse, not a bargain, but surprisingly addictive. Despite its shortcomings, I find it charming and enjoyable—more than I initially expected. For those who value portability without completely giving up PC gaming, it’s a device worth considering. The Legion Go 2 won’t replace your gaming PC, but it might steal your heart.

Best handheld PC on the market

Hands down the top dog in the handheld PC market. It's only downside is the thing is weighty and also the largest handheld, but this is made up for by its performance, versatility and the best screen you can get short of moving to a laptop or desktop PC. Speaking as an enthusiast who has bought most of these handhelds as they come out, the only one out there which can compete with the Legion Go 2 is the MSI Claw 8 AI+. which I also have and really enjoy.

Not worth the almost $1400 price tag whatsoever. The ergonomics are terrible. The right joystick is way too low and positioned in a way that makes playing fps or competitive games impossible. Very heavy and unweildy. The OLED screen has a very ugly mura effect. The fans are obnoxiously loud. Barely a 10-% performance increase from last gen. Avoid this and wait for something somewhat remotely worth the price. Way too may compromises and issues for the money. I love OLED and all my devices are OLEDs but it can’t save this device here. Ergonomics are the most important thing in a handheld and the dealbreaker here is definitely that right joystick and the controller in general. Looking at the Xbox Ally X now, despite the unfortunate screen, it’ll be way more comfortable.

      Hey there,

We're sorry to hear that the Legion Go 2 is a miss for you, being a seemingly incompatible system for you. We appreciate your comments and thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

We designed the Legion Go 2 to offer improved ergonomics, display and gaming experience, as well as improved thermals and efficiency, but we apologize that this didn't reflect as such during your time with your Go 2. We hope that you give our systems another shot in the future.

This thing is a ton of fun. I find the ergonomics great and the gaming even better. I was comparing this versus the Ally X and figured I’d spend the extra and I’m glad I did. I don’t do a lot of traveling and I use this primarily on the couch when TV shows others in the house are watching and they’re not the ones I’m interested in… I’m still mostly present, but the system makes it difficult, lol. No doubt it’s more than I wanted to spend but I’m happy with the product.

You get what you pay for with the Legion Go 2. This is a premium PC handheld so it comes with a premium price. Beautiful 8.8 inch OLED screen with so many editions that make it even better. Much better ergonomics compared to the original Legion Go. Feels premium. Huge improvement in speaker quality as well. I absolutely love it. Just waiting for an official Steam OS.

Obviously the screen really is the best part of the new Legion Go 2. But on top of that the device really has a premium feel to it now. And the addition of a 144hz VRR screen is amazing. Not to mention it is now OLED too. Speakers are an improvement over the previous version as well. The only negative, and I won't really dock it for this, is the case it comes with isn't a hardshell like before. And doesn't have a handle. But it is more compact so that's a plus.

This device has been a solid upgrade from my steam deck Oled. It allows me to play more demanding games at higher FPS and resolution. Battery life is OK, but that’s a trade off I was willing to make. Right side of the device was a little cramp inducing due to the layout of buttons and joystick, but my hand already adjusted a good amount to it. Will still keep my SD for lower end gaming since it’s still a great device for those games.

I came from the original ROG Ally . That experience itself was horrible. Most games ran fine but always a crash due to windows or not sure. Sometimes it still crashes on just simple YouTube videos. Anyways coming from that is the reason why I decided to go with the legion go2 this gen instead of the Xbox x. All I can say is I made the right choice. Best experience on a handheld I’ve ever had.

Significantly better over previous model. The price is a bit what makes users have buyers remorse but this technology is new and to be expected. Otherwise if price is within your means then this is an excellent machine. Battery is significantly better. Screen is beautiful. Controllers feel way better in hands vs previous model.

I have nothing but positive things to say. It runs every game I have tried to play. The screen quality is fantastic. It is a huge advancement from the steamdeck that I had. The price is the only tough part about it. You can tell when you hold it that the company really did take their customers feedback and meet everyones wish list. Something with the specs of this machine will not be cheap. Once they release the official Steam OS it will be even better.

Compared to the Xbox Ally X they’re pretty much the same in terms of performance. The LeGo 2 has a bigger screen that’s Oled and attachable controllers and kick stand like the switch that makes it to where you can have put it down and play anywhere. The larger screen is what got me to like this over the Xbox Ally X. The comfort is good but the screen is too small.

Amazing handheld. I'm able to run Stellar Blade on max settings on this beast. The OLED screen is leagues better than other handhelds with LCD screens. Performance is great, barely hear the fan when it kicks on. Only gripe is it's only has 1 tb of storage, but if you know how, it's upgradable with an SSD swap.

Honestly one of the best handhelds I have ever used and I have had almost every manufacturer in mainstream and some overseas brands. The screen and functionality of this device are absolutely amazing. I’d recommend it to anyone that I know can afford it but with its price it’s not something that I go out of my way to recommend. For its price, in my eyes it is absolutely worth it.

It is a bit heavy and will wear your hands out after a solid gaming station. The oled screen and power is worth the investment. It plays most new gen games very well. Obscur 33 is averaging 70 fps at low settings but is very playable. BF6 is sold at medium graphics, just would recommend a third party controller.
