    There's Always Room For Two

    Posted .

LEGO Dimensions made plenty of fans excited when it announced that Harry Potter would be joining the game, and it only made it more exciting when it also said that Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, it's prequel, would be featured as well. But why let Newt Scamander have all the fun? His companion Tina Goldstein isn't going to be left out. I will be honest though, she's mainly here for collectable purposes. If you get the Story Pack, you don't really need her (as far as I can tell), since Newt can pretty much do everything, and there's the dozens of these characters that are already out that fill out many of the other needs. If you want to get her for a complete collection, that's fine. She's just not necessary for a full 100% completion.

My kids have been in love with lego dimensions for a few years now and we have a massive collection of different figures. It was great to find some that my 9 year old daughter would enjoy too. These have been a great addition to our collection. Shipping and packaging were just as I had hoped they'd be. Very happy with this purchase.

it seems to do what it says it does

the tina figure is quick and easy to put together. the brutal bloom or green and blue thing - well I put it together following the instructions I downloaded from lego website because the included instruction booklet is pretty useless and learned you could do things with lego I didn't know you could do if you use the right combination of included bricks but I haven't watched the film so the characters don't mean anything to me and as such this might not have been a good choice to buy. The model uses spiky lime green arm like appendages which you might want to be careful of around kids. I'm really ambivalent about recommending this set. Its clever use of lego. It does what it says but I'd buy most of the other sets before this one from a fun point of view

    Expanded Fun In Lego Dimensions.

The Tina Goldstein - from Fantastic Creatures & Where to Find Them- Fun Pack for Lego Dimensions opens up new abilities to us on the Year Two world hubs. Although it doesn't open up the levels (you need to purchase the Fantastic Creatures Story Pack) it does open up the world hub, allowing you to explore the 1930s NYC of the Harry Potter Universe. She also gives you access to one of two (so far) Fantastic Creatures Battle Arenas, to play in against up to 3 friends. I'm hoping to get the Story Pack soon, but this certainly whets the appetite.

I've really enjoyed each character in the lego dimensions line. Each time my kids and I play it feels like a new adventure. I have to admit building the mini set is probably my favorite part. Its ashame the line came to an end, but that hasn't stopped our ability to keep on having a great time with the game

    Lego are the best

I play every lego game. I 100% all of them. Lego dimensions may be my favorite. I get to play the lego game and get to play with physical Legos at the same time. In what other game can batman ride a flying monkey from the wizard of oz? Or gandolf ride a velociraptor? The possibilities are endless. Plus the characters dialog with character from other universes is hilarious.

Go see the movie, then live the game!

How cool was this! My g/f and I went to see the Fantastic Beasts movie, and then when we saw the expansions for Lego Dimensions, we had to have them! The gameplay is fun and easy, the challenges get harder as you go through the levels so it makes it more fun and satisfying when you solve them! We play as a couple, and that also makes the game a ton of fun.

    Nice Add-on

We had several xbox one savvy people that could not get this game to work. You had to update the xbox and the game and it took like 3 hours and we still couldn't figure out how to make the dimension work. We had no problem figuring out the starter pack. Never did get to see the "complete movie" that is advertised with it.

Excellent way to round out the story pack

You'll enjoy running about as this minifig in all the worlds, and the Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them story pack. In order to unlock more achievements you will want to get as many characters as you can, but it's just plain fun to play a character from one world in a completely different one.

This set is fun, adorable, and the character interactions are great. Wish they had dedicated levels/stories like this for all character packs. Only catch is they're a tad pricey when not on sale. Got mine at half off plus a VISA checkout deal so I feel it was a very good buy. Enjoy!

This pack will unlock the world of fantastic beasts in LEGO dimensions and is part of the newer series. My kids love this game and this is another great example of why they do. It's fun for the whole family and your kids will enjoy solving the puzzles and exploring this new world.

LEGO Dimensions was a great idea. The concept of using characters from multiple universes without boundaries provides tons of entertainment based on those characters' unique skills and abilities.

My wife wanted this figure. My son tolerates it. They are both happy with the buy. She has some cool magic powers in the game, but not really all that much more than any of the other Harry Potter figures.

The LEGO dimensions game overall is great and the character pack gives you access to different levels. My son is only 5 years old so I help him build the characters, but he’s able to play the game on his own.

Tina Goldstein to the rescue! Since Lego has not released any Fantastic Beasts yet other than their Dimensions sets, this is the only way to start/complete your own set! Great add-on and a cheap pice, especially if you are a GC member (20% off)!

Cool set, but what the heck did I build?

    |
    Posted .

I haven't seen Fantastic Beasts so I'm in the dark on this, but the minifig is cool and the build was simple. But what the heck is the thing? Swooping evil? It had some odd build mechanics and not knowing what it is made it hard to know what I was doing. It's some kind of flying creature in-game. Whatever, decent set.

    You don't need this...

    |
    Posted .

... but it's still a nice set. The problem with having a creature as the vehicle is that it sometimes takes some squinting to really make out the thing. Such is the case here. The minifigure doesn't add any needed abilities, really, though she does have some different abilities from the other Harry Potter figures (though, the amount of abilities they all share is quite large). Still, you'll likely already have another figure that can do her thing. Still, if you like Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, Tina's a solid addition, even if just to collect the figure. I'd have liked to see Queenie and Graves as a Team Pack just to fill out the cast, but they'd be pretty much superfluous. If you want the figure (or even the vehicle build), by all means pick it up. But, if you're just wanting to gt trophies/achievements and play through the game, she's unnecessary.
