My daughter loves the game, only issue is that it only gives you written instructions on building some figures and the others you have to be in the game to get further instructions on how to build.

My son has has a great time playing this since he received it at Christmas. The extra sets are a nice little add-on and of course having the building element makes it more than just a video game.

    Not your typical LEGO game...

I love the LEGO series games. I've been playing them since the original Indiana Jones game, and have tried to play all of them. When I saw Doctor Who and Back to the Future franchises would be part of Dimensions, I was super excited. Then I found out how the game was structured. You buy the starter kit for a super expensive price, and you get some base levels. In order to play the characters or levels though, you have to buy a bunch of extra add-ons. This can get very expensive, very quickly. The starter kit does come with some basic levels, but you can only play as Batman, Wyld Style, or Gandolf. Additionally, you are required to use the game pad. The pad only has a 6 foot USB cord, and during the game play you need to move characters around on the pad. I highly recommend getting a USB extension cord so that you can place it next to you. Otherwise, you'll be getting up every few minutes to move the pieces around. (Why couldn't they include a longer cord??) It's innovative how they used the game pad, but I still find it slightly annoying. I only recommend because I still do enjoy the game play - even if it is ridiculously overpriced and requires tons of add-ons. What can I say, I'm a sucker and they know it. I'm docking 1 star for the game pad cord being too short, and another star for the whole add-on purchase model. Thus, 3 stars.

Me and my daughter love playing this game together, she loves switching out the players while in game and makes it simple to do this, un-like Disney Infinity.

My eight year old loves it, one Caveat, you should buy extra figures right away. He's already spent as much as the game costs in extra figures. Fun Game like all the Lego Games.

I love how it incorporates some of my favorite characters and sets from the best of pop culture. The Simpsons, LOTR, Ghostbusters.. even the Wizard of Oz! Who knew mashing these all together would actually work! It somehow does.

My five year old son fell in love with Legos. We didn't want him tied up in a video game but this game is different. The game has sparked an even greater love for Legos. He's learning to look for patterns and using creativity to problem solve.

Lego's did not disappoint. You had to build your base as any typical Lego. And then the choice of having different characters different worlds keeps him very busy.

It's a lot of fun but I think the $99.99 price tag is a little high. I would expect it to be on par with a skylanders starter kit, which I believe is around $79 dollars. If you have the money and love previous Lego games, get the game.

Great game! A little complicated for young kids, but great for older kids and adults! Unlike Skylanders an Disney Infinity, the Toy Pad becomes part of the game, requiring you to move your figures around for different effects. Huge worlds to explore, and cool story lines - including a handful of levels that take you into the worlds of some of the level packs available separately.

Bought this for my grandson for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. But you do have to purchase additional pieces to unlock all the hidden things in the game.

Game is fun, only glitch I found was on the Dr. WHO DLC. Wish they would have released all the figures at once. It's a pain waiting for more to launch.
