From the very first cutscene to the last, the translation of the Harry Potter movies over to a Lego games was done without flaw and with much attention to detail. The voiceless acting and added humor makes the game so much more approachable for any level of Harry Potter fan.
The gameplay is much like other Lego games, but throws in a magical twist. With the ability to learn new spells throughout the game, the interaction with the world evolves and is already a very lively aspect of the hub world. The music is flawlessly scored and makes the experience absolutely authentic. The graphics are smooth and very well made to feel like Harry Potter while hanging on tight to the Lego-esque vibe of the playing field.
Boss fights flow like you'd imagine they did in the movie, and by knowing the movies and its occurrences your knowledge of how to conquer the game is already partly in place; as far as battles and puzzles go. New characters are unlocked through going back and using all of your and current character arsenal making the lifetime of the gameplay double.
Great game for Harry Potter fans.

This was one game that I thought would be good both with the humor that Lego puts in its games, as well as it follows the Harry Potter series, While I have not gotten far in the game, I have seen videos that show the game play and was one game that I am glad that I bought.

I bought this for my 5yo son but my 13 yo daughter loved it too. Graphics are wonderful, animation is very cute. They did a great job with the story line. Very impressed.
My only complaint is its too easy to accidentally overwrite a saved game and you cannot save progress on different save slots. Daughter has gotten to the end of year 1 two times and my son has accidentally overwritten it both times with a blank game save...BIG OOPS. Needs to be better protected. Be nice if you could keep different save points.

The BUGGIEST game I've ever played. EVER

Good game, when it works. Read up on the internet and you'll see, there's TONS of glitches and bugs in this game. We're talking fatal game ending glitches. Especially if you're playing 2 player. We found out the hard way about the poly juice 2 player glitch. We spent hours playing through the entire game, and wondered why we couldn't use the poly juice potion. Found out it was a glitch and how to fix it. Didn't know that when you fixed it (By watching a movie in the in game theater), that it would cause a fatal glitch in the game where you couldn't go any further. You're basically locked in a room, and the only way to fix it is to start all over again and play through 1 player. That's the first glitch. There's a TON more. There's the red brick 12 glitch that's a fatal glitch to the game resulting in having to start over. And then the game likes to freeze, A LOT! Go online, look it up, it's a super glitchy game. We actually contacted lego directly and they said that there's no way to fix the glitch(es), and then sent us a 10 dollar gift certificate for a lego product. (That is after spending 60 bucks on a glitchy game). It's a long game, with tons to do, so it's a grind to have to play through everything again. If it wasn't so full of bugs I'd definitely say this is a great game.

I just bought this game and it was fun to play until we were on two player at the giant spider then the game froze. I had to turn the xbox off, and when I turned it back on all the game data was gone. I haven't tried the single player hopefully it isn't a waste of time like the freeze on the 2 player. Great looking game. Just DO NOT play two player (which was the one reason I bought this game.)
