The main beef I had with this was that the battery life was extremely short for what I paid. And, to add insult to injury, I couldn't return it when it finally occurred to me that it wasn't worth it.

I've had my laptop for almost three years and just recently the battery was getting low. I payed an absolutely rediculous price for a new one - that had to be ordered because Best Buy didn't have it in stock - and it lasts less than 2 month! It completely died! I'm actually able to use the old battery! Bad timing on requesting my review as this just happened yesterday!!!

Best Buy's website said it would fit my daughter's computer...but it would not. website listing needs to be verified for fit...

This battery is 1/2 the cost of the HP brand and performs exactly the same. I get 4+ hours of battery charge and is clear and fast. I appreciate the ease of return or exchange if needed. Arrived in 3 days!!

This battery provides good backup and works as a replacement

Okay so this battery is less expensive than HP battery but is more expensive than many other batteries being offered Having said that....this battery does fit perfectly & re-charges fine so......in my book it is a good solid replacement 4 star battery

This works for me because my laptop used to shut down as soon as it was unplugged. This battery allows me to use it for about an hour when fully charged. 60 minutes is a huge improvement over the 0 minutes I had earlier.

Exactly what I needed! Will likely be getting another for a similar machine again soon

This page indicates this battery will fit my HP Pavillion dv7. It will NOT. I ordered on line and attempted to return it to and return it to a nearby store per instructions included with the shipment. The store absolutely refused. Then I called Best Buy for return procedures and a complaint about the store. THEN I was told that this is a SPECIAL ORDER and, therefore, I would not get a full refund. I could find no place indicating it is a special order or that I would not receive a full refund. BEWARE WHEN BUYING ON LINE FROM BEST BUY!

I bought this product after going into my local best buy and having them refer me to their online website. After purchasing this battery and receiving it, i realized that the battery was not holding a full charge. I attempted to wait and see if the battery would gain some juice after a couple complete charging cycles from dead to full life to dead, but as the days went on it began to hold LESS of charge. I went to my local best buy to return the battery, they directed me to their over the phone service. When I called the service, two rude representatives told me it was past the return date and I would have to contact the manufacturer even though the store told me I would have no problem returning the DEFECTIVE battery. They wouldn't even give me the info to contact the manufacturer , they just told me to google the name. Come to find out the manufacturer has zero real contacts on its website so there is no way to contact them and no way to have this piece of junk returned or exchanged. Thanks for nothing Bestbuy, I'll be shopping somewhere else from now on.

This battery always had shorter run times than the factory battery, but got worse as time went on. Now 15 months later it has about a 15 minute run time. Stick with the more expensive factory battery.
