Completly fine laptop for the price

Build quality isn't anything special and it is quite "plasticy." The keyboard is a bit frustrating as they squeeze the arrow keys and shrink the right hand shift key which is difficult to get used to. The keypad is nice but cramped. Does QuickBooks and email, which is all I need.

I constantly bump the up arrow key. It is a very, very poor desing. (found an on line fix to convert up key into a shift key.) It only offers 2 USB Ports. I require 3 for my usb printer, usb mouse and usb backup drive. It does offer an hdmi and Ethernet ports. I can't get over the keyboard design. Geek squad transferred my data so maybe that is why I did not see this, but I feel something in the computer should be "forcing me" to create a usb flash drive to help start the computer in a major crash. (I can't recall what that is technically called.)

Posted .With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP. With regard to more USB ports for this device, you might consider using a USB hub. There is both a ethernet and HDMI port on this device. They are on the side of the device.

Not even worth it

I worked very hard to save up for it and was completely excited to buy my first non-used computer. I used this computer for about a month before having problems. It's so slow it can't even stream Netflix or Hulu, it freezes constantly, and the audio cuts out or stops working excessively. I have tried everything I can to fix it and make it run better and faster, but nothing seems to work. I am so heartbroken and disappointed. I wish I would have just bought another used 2008 MacBook because even that runs better than this computer. I wasn't expecting much and I was still disappointed. Do yourself a favor and save your money.

Posted .This system should be a fast system with its Core I-3 processor and 6GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.
