Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15. With regard to the battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life. With regard to the system crash you experienced, in the future, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the power plug port on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this basic computer on advice of tech at store. this was purchased for my wife as a home computer for basic activities like scheduling/surfing net etc. it never worked correctly, but finally crashed 2.5 months after I bought it. Once purchased, it never left our home, was never dropped, never had a power surge or outage at our house (purchased Aug 7). We took it to best buy on Oct 29, who basically stated there was nothing they could do, the hard drive had been fried. Our option was to call the service center, and ask them for a recovery disk and windows reinstall. The Geek Squad was helpful, but said they could not get into the computer themselves,because the computer had a fully sealed back. Not sure why this is sold there if they cannot service it. A best buy warranty would have helped presumably, but they just would have replaced it with same computer which failed. Kids have MAC computers, which don't seem to have these issues.
