However, it gave me nothing but trouble. The touch pad was so uncomfortable to use and the updates were getting stuck for hours. Thankfully I was eligible for the holiday exchange policy and I'm getting a different one now.

Bought laptop but drivers weren't installed well

Windows 10 was and is the issue but the laptop itself was amazing to me and a wonderful buy although I wasn't able to use it for purpose I needed.

Couldn't be slower or more annoying
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought this for a 10 year old, so we didn't want to spend too much, but we definitely got what we paid for - or maybe less. This is the slowest computer imaginable. Additionally, every time you start it up, it automatically checks for updates and installs them. And there is always something to update. And it's soooooo slow. You turn it on expecting to do something and then have to walk away and do something else as it slowly updates. Serious design flaw. We can't find a spot anywhere to allow us to turn off this auto update feature. It also has regular pop-ups to purchase McAffee etc. even when we're not online. I don't want commercials/ads on my computer screen thank you.

Posted .Here is a link as to how to turn off automatic updates. You will still get a notice when there is an update for your system, but you can decide when to allow the update. With regard to McAfee Anti-Virus software, if you are not using the software you should uninstall it. If you are using either Windows Defender as your virus protection or another 3rd party anti-virus program, you need to have only one anti-virus program operating/installed on the device. By uninstalling McAfee, this will also stop the pop ups.

It runs fast enough and ultimately is a good buy at the advertised price. Just know there's no DVD drive and the graphics are very basic. I got this for an 11 year old sixth grader and she's happy. In the end so am I
