When typing fast and not used to the shift key location you will hit the arrow up button and if you don't notice your all messed up BC now your typing in the wrong row! Very frustrating.

Posted .With regard to the right shift key placement, there is a free software work-around available, it is called "Key Tweak". This software will allow you to switch the functions of the right shift key and the arrow key. So if you are hitting the arrow key when you mean to hit the right shift key, you can reverse the functions with this software. Be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes, then create a new restore point once you decide that the system change is working for you. You can just Google Search for Key Tweak and it will show you the download site and give you other information about this free software.

Posted .There is a 30-day trial of McAfee anti virus software on this device. If you installed any other 3rd party anti virus software, be sure you uninstall McAfee. There can only be one anti virus software program on a device, otherwise the system will be slow or may crash.

Posted .We are disappointed to hear that the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop didn't work out for you. With regard to learning your way around Windows 10, you may want to try YouTube.com (just type that address in your browser address window). There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.

I used this Lenovo 4 times in the last 8 months and it suddenly stopped working. I always had problems with it shutting down and thought that maybe it was my remote connection. The Geek squad advised me that it had "spill damage". Nothing was spilled on it while in my possession so I'm concerned that I was sold a defective item. I'm now forced to purchase yet another laptop if I want to be paid while traveling for work. Very disappointed and probably should have returned the item after I first noticed a problem.

This model has the shift key one position further to the right than a standard keyboard. It destroys the flow of writing text and I constantly have to stop to correct the error.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop. With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this soft ware, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

We are an Apple family and, unfortunately, she could not use her Macbook for this course. I hate to give this Lenovo such a low rating because she has never had trouble with the hardware. It is Windows 10 that has been giving her trouble, especially when trying to do labs and take tests for this on-line course. Every bad thing I have read about this OS is true. Don't buy anything using Windows 10. You will regret it.
