So far, this is overall a decent computer. It set itself up fairly easily, although it was annoying to be required to have a password through MSN. The main issue I am having is that the shift key on the right side is in the WRONG spot, so that instead of hitting a capital letter, I am hitting the arrow up, taking me to the line above. I can't imagine why on earth they'd design a keyboard with a crucial key so far out of reach. I am extremely annoyed at this, as it slows typing down quite a bit. The other issue is that the mousepad is very sensitive, and keeps either expanding or contracting the screen, when I have no intention of doing either. My son helped me figure out what was happening, as it seemed to be random. The other negative issue is that the sound is very, very low. I bought this to do online shows, but the volume if noticeably much lower than my HP Pavilion was. It's fine to listen to videos with headphones, but even at full volume it's disappointing. But you get what you pay for. I do like the number pad at the right side of the keyboard - much easier for me to use!

This computer was a great find. It was at a great price. I ended up taking it back because I needed something more for all of my photography. It would be a great school computer or a great computer to use for gaming.

After months a researching computers and having to return 2 i recently purchased this computer and i have to admit i was a bit skeptical at first for a couple of reasons, never having owned a Lenovo brand computer, i was unfamiliar with this brand, i can now say i am pleasantly surprised how much i like this brand, and second the amount of memory this computer actually did having especially since it was running windows 10. i was worried it would not be enough memory for the computer to have any kind of speed, once again i was pleasantly surprised. while this computer is no power house but it definitely can perform everyday tasks at a reasonable speed. it was also nice to find a computer especially at this price point that has a CD/DVD read write as well. i can honestly say this little gem is perfect for me and my everyday needs of surfing the internet, streaming music, and i am so glad i found this computer!!! this computer is great for anyone the needs a BASIC computer without all the bells and whistles of higher end models. once again if you are looking for a power house computer that is super fast this is NOT the computer for you. if you are looking for a basic everyday computer then i highly recommend this one.

My original purchase was a refurbished Dell because I was dead set on having Windows 7. I ended up returning it because it was too bulky and heavy compared to the newer computers. Back to the Best Buy website I went to search for another computer. What caught my eye about this Lenovo laptop was in the Product Features it said "Windows 10 brings back the Start Menu from Windows 7." At least something would look familiar, and this NEW computer was less expensive than the refurbished one I had bought! The online support team were very helpful answering all of my questions, and it put my mind at ease to learn Lenovo is a division of IBM computers. I also liked the one year warranty if the computer develops a problem. I stopped by my local store to pick it up, and then dropped it off at the Geek Squad desk to take advantage of their PC Setup service. For $39.99 they installed all the Windows updates, drivers, WebRoot security, and basically prepared the computer so it was ready to use the minute I got it home. Windows 10 is a lot easier to navigate than I thought it was going to be, and I love the larger screen and HD graphics. I'm still discovering features on this computer, like Cortana, that allows you to control the laptop through voice commands. Like a lot of other reviewers, my only complaint is that pesky Shift key on the right side. It's in the wrong place, so when I'm typing fast and think I'm hitting the "Shift" key to capitalize a letter, I'm actually hitting the "Page Up" arrow and end up somewhere else in the paragraph. It'll take a while to get used to it, but it's a very small glitch compared to how well the rest of the computer performs.

Wi fi works great. DVD/CDs play great. Headphones work great. Printing works great. 15.6 inch screen. Great deal on Best Buy Black Friday in July. Fast free delivery. I'm happy with this laptop.

This is a good basic laptop for web browsing, email, and typing. It has a good bright, and sharp screen with a good keyboard. The speakers are very loud and clear for such a small laptop. Good for playing video or music with clear audio. It's lightweight, and thin so is good for travel or school. Runs fast enough after all the Windows 10 updates are done. Needs to be left on for a few hours to update, and requires several restarts, then runs ok. I plan on replacing the hard drive with a faster SSD to speed it up. Laptop only has 4GB of memory and is non-upgrade-able with soldered on RAM, but 4GB is enough for basic computing.

This computer has and will run all the basics. Inexpensive, but feels like the real deal. Comes set up with Win 10 and has a dvd drive and a decent amount of hard drive space. So far the only thing bad I have noticed is that the speakers aren"t very loud but I can always plug externals in. I rarely turn the sound on anyway. This was bought for my husband that doesnt do much other than check out facebook and maybe play a game or 2. Perfect for someone just learning how to get around on a computer.

I love this laptop. I wanted a new laptop for personal use but one I could use for work when I travel. This was a reasonably priced laptop that performs very well for what I need. I have one small issue, but I'm getting used to it. The "shift" key on the right is not exactly where it is with other keyboards, so it takes awhile to get used to it. But that's a small issue compared to the positives with the laptop.

Bought this little laptop to surf the internet and facebook from my couch instead of using my android phone. I thought it would word faster than my HTC Desire phone...wrong. It is slower. Not a good match for internet surfing. Not good when you sell a new computer that is slower than a 6 month old phone! Not sure what the problem is, but the screen is slow to scroll down, unlike my cheap little phone. Gave around $250 for it, and would not recommend purchasing this...

Reviewed many laptops and makes. Only needed dependable laptop to program amateur radio equipment which uses Windows. I have used and owned Lenovo before and they are rock solid machines. Yes this is $200.00 but feature packed. You should examine your needs before purchasing anything. If you need the latest, greatest, look at the $ required.

I needed a laptop for basic school use such as writing essays, emails and checking grades. I decided to buy this one since it was a good price with decent reviews. I am very happy with the purchase. It works very well for a laptop at this price, in some aspects it works better than my $1200 dollar desktop! My only complaints are that when I'm using a browser the zoom randomly zooms in and out which can be annoying. Another is that sometimes the mouse randomly moves by itself all over the place, kind of weird. Also the screen is a bit flimsy and the camera is bad quality. These are some of the reasons I gave four stars but I would still recommend this to anyone looking for a nice cheap laptop for basic use.

Below average battery. Good luck getting through a movie or sporting event without it plugged in. Right shift key is small to accommodate10-key pad. I don't game but I figure it's not great. I use mostly for movies, videos, email, pictures, etc.

Laptop works good.But I think it has a software issue. Sometimes it is slow to start up. I took it to a free Geek Squad person but of course it would not do a slow start at the time. However for the price I am satisfied.

For the money, this is a great computer. I have been using it for a month now and I feel the only issue I have is the right shift key. It is not in its usual spot on the keyboard. Really have to reach for it when using.

I was pleased with the overall performance of this computer. First you can't beat the price. For all your basic needs, email, movies, web surfing this Lenovo computer gets the job done.

This is the worst experience I've ever had with a laptop. It runs slow...takes forever for a page to load, The battery life is awful, and per the associate it's like that for all low grade computers unless you pay $500 or more OR get a smaller computer. Then I purchased a battery stick from BB to fix the situation Now the computer doesn't recognize it.Hopefully I can find my receipt this was a waste

Ok, it's a celeron, so it's not a speed demon, but it works well, and is much better than comparable celeron laptops from other vendors. For example it ships with _no_ bloatware. None. Even the lenovo utilities are optional. I like the recessed button for booting into BIOS/recovery modes. Its wireless is AC and works on 2.4 and 5ghz access points. I like it.

I was looking for a new computer with a CD drive that wouldn't break the bank. This one fit the bill. For the money, it's nice.

This laptop is good; clear screen, big screen, fast, cd player, ect. However.. THE SPEAKERS SUCK!!! The speakers sound very quiet and muffled. If you buy this computer you might wanna think about getting speakers or headphones. This computer is good if you are not going to use it for videos much, but if you like to watch youtube/Netflix a lot, get a computer with better speakers.

The laptop is ok. It did shut down several times because of the updates it needed to run certain applications. And all I added on this was the microsoft word applications and the kaspersky that came with the product. Other than that the laptop is okay. This laptop is solely for my children to do their homework assignments so the price and using it was perfect for my kids.
