For what I need it for, a 6th generation Intel i3 with 6GB of RAM should be plenty fast. However, every now and then when I click on something (even things as simple as opening a file explorer), the computer locks up and takes up to 10 minutes to load. It is possible that there are defective parts or there is preinstalled software bogging down the processing.

Posted .This system should be a fast system with its Core I-3 processor and 6GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop. With regard to the speaker volume, you might try going in to Properties for sounds/speaker. For Playback, find the Enhancement Tab. Find Equalizer. Change setting to Powerful.

But when I get it home and set up, the operating system was slower than the one I had. I ended up returning it to the store for a different model. I was not familiar with this manufacturer and the sales rep talked me into this model. I'm sorry I didn't go with my first choice.
