Good value for a college laptop

I was able to get this laptop on sale for a good price. It does everything I need and want it to do with no issues. The only two problems I've had with it are the disc drive not opening all the time and a problem with Windows 10.

I wanted to get her something with plenty of memory for all her precious photos and videos that would also be useful for her to connect with Facebook, email, and communicating with far away family. This laptop has it all and is easy to use. Plenty of memory for all her needs, but also plenty of RAM for light gaming as well. Fantastic screen for movie watching, nice amount of RAM for quickly accessing several programs at a time, and the ease of Windows 10. I have recommended this to several family members who were also purchasing a laptop in the last several months. We all love it!

Good for simple use

Good amount of storage, quick start up, and good battery life. The only thing that caused the 4 and not 5 is the speaker volume....it is terrible. Have to hook up external speakers if you want to listen to anything.

Takes some getting used too

The built in mouse is also kind of awkward so I have a wireless mouse to make it easier to use. I am not loving the battery life though, although it may be google chrome killing it.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. Also, concerning the battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.

The amount of storage is great and I was also able to download Microsoft office from my school website. The speed of browsing was a little slower than expected but it got the job done. I'm sure it will last me the rest of my time in college it was my main purpose for purchase

If you can get pass that, this is a good basic laptop for surfing web, email, playing basic games, youtube, ect The battery life is about 3 to 4 hours only. Its a good laptop for students and first time users.

When turning on u have to hold the power button for several seconds to turn on. Other than that. It is ok for the price point. I got it on sale.
