Great value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a replacement for a machine that was three years old and getting slow and no longer connecting to the internet. This Lenovo has been great machine, set up was easy. My only complaint is the awkward placement of the right shift key, but I'm getting used to it. This is the second Lenovo laptop I've purchased in the last two years, and have enjoyed both.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop. With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP. We appreciate your loyalty to the Lenovo Brand.

More than expected!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loving this laptop-got as deal of day yesterday, already have setup and files updated from old laptop. Lightweight, user friendly, much, much easier to use than thought after reading reviews about (right)shift placement. I already am use to displacement of uparrow key being placed before smaller shift key. Very happy with purchase - great value - for price, exceeds expectations!!!!!.

One Annoying Deal Breaker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, I was excited when I got this laptop because I just needed something basic and my previous laptop was a Lenovo. For under $300 I knew I had to have my expectations in check. I liked the 6gb of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Everything worked fine and I was even impressed with Windows 10. But there was one major flaw that was the major reason why I had to return it... ...the location of the right shift key. I had read about this in other customer reviews, but I didn't realize how big of a deal it would be. Basically the right shift key is half the size of the left shift key (and other shift keys for that matter). This makes it unnatural when I'm typing fast. I have to make a conscious effort to reach farther with my right pinky in order to hit the shift key. This has been super annoying; annoying enough where I returned it and got a Dell with similar specs (and a touchscreen) for $50 more. The Dell also is a little narrower than the Lenovo, which is a good thing for me since these 15 inch laptops are wide to begin with. Performance-wise they are similar, but it came down to the keyboard design that was ultimately worth paying $50 extra for the Dell.

Outstanding
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looked for a replacement laptop for mostly home use. Starts up quickly, has plenty of ram and storage space. Lightweight and battery operates nicely. Also the Lenovo Companion software helps me on my metered internet to solve my windows 10 automatic update concerns. The right shift and up arrow problem was solved with Keytweak program downloaded off the internet.. Don't know what Lenovo was thinking when they put the keys in those locations. It would have been 5 stars.

Great at Price Point; Pay More, Get More
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was surprised at how good this computer is at its low price point. For any normal use, I recommend it. This more recent computer performs better than my 5 yr old computer with similar specs, likely due to the improved drivers and later generation processor. The sound amplification for headphones is better than my old Asus. The plastic case is sturdy and attractive. I called Lenovo support and support was excellent. However, I decided I needed more for my more professional use. Two USB ports, often the number for laptops nowadays, for instance, is a limitation I do not want. So I returned it for a Laptop with a 7th Generation I5 and more ports.

Good for budget laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this model as a GeekSquad recertified. Its a decent laptop for the money but not without a couple compromises. Screen quality is good, colors vibrant, core i3 responsive, good amount of RAM for most. Hard drive smaller then typical laptops but enough for many consumers. Not so much bloatware. Nice keyboard for the price point, much better then some. Elan TouchPad is OK but problems with unwanted Zoom function so I disabled that in settings. Audio is where this laptop suffers a lot. It only has one small mono speaker which doesn't output pleasant or even acceptable sound. Luckily you can use a Bluetooth option or plug in headphones. Charge adaptor is the type with brick at wall socket not inline brick and cord is a bit shorter. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who needs basics and a good keyboard for typing. Just make sure you have alternatives for audio because built in speaker is not going to cut it.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Ideapad 110-15 laptop. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. Also, with regard to the speaker volume, you might try going in to Properties for sounds/speaker. For Playback, find the Enhancement Tab. Find Equalizer. Change setting to Powerful.

Great buget laptop for gaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought this laptop and it works very well for web browsing, and gaming and its very fast. The intel core i3 6100U at 2.3 ghz and the 6gb ddr4 ram helps the laptop play games like minecraft above 60fps even at high settings. If you want to play more demanding games like gta 5, then turn the settings on low and the game should be playable. It also has a 1tb hard drive to store alot of stuff. The keyboard feels very nice but i dont get why people complain about the right shift key.Overall, this is a very good buget laptop for gaming.

GREAT for Gaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this after reading many reviews online and comparing different ones. A TB of storage and 6Gb of ram for the price sold me. As a Sims 4 and Simcity gamer, I compared specs and this was the best for the price. Set up was quick, computer is super fast and the laptop in whole is amazing! the graphics are great! I am able to run Sims 4 on a higher setting and it won't lag! Beginner Gamers, Simmers, try this one!!

Excellent product for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new laptop for word processing and internet browsing. After searching for a good price on a decent laptop, I came across this one. The next best laptop I could find was over $100 more than what I paid for this machine. The 6GB of RAM is far more than enough for browsing the web. I have heard the processor is a little slow, but I have never had issues. I highly recommend this laptop for general use.

Good basic laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I very recently purchased this laptop. The setup was quick and simple and my initial impression of the laptop overall is positive. The keypad is solid and comfortable to use. The only negative I have noticed is that the speaker sound is very low, when it is up at 100% it is comfortably audible. However it is difficult to hear well when there is any form of back ground noise. Overall pleased with my purchase but a little disappointed with the low speaker sound (Conexant SmartAudio HD).

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because is was recommended by the salesperson who obviously didnt know the quality of his products. What a total piece of garbage. The thing literally took 20 minutes to turn on even after it was set up. It ran agonizingly slow. The right shift key is a pain in the a** as reported. Very annoying computer in total. The camera quality is horrible. Was fuzzy and seemingly out of focus and there were no fixes for it. The sound is almost non-existent. Even at 100% you couldnt hear much. Ear buds helped a little but you really cant get good volume either way. I returned it the next day for a full refund and purchased a Dell with comparable specs, although the Dell has a touch screen. Dell is a far superior product and has none of the issues the piece of garbage Lenovo has. DO NOT BUY. EVER. NEVER EVER. STOP WHILE YOU'RE AHEAD.

Great Laptop For Those on a Budget
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Lenovo 15" IdeaPad 110 is an excellent machine. I have it for a week now and the only issue I have it the horrible sound from its internal speaker. Notice I said speaker and not speakers. For some cost cutting factor, Lenovo decided to install a cheap speaker. If you plan to purchase this laptop, buy yourself a wireless external Bluetooth speaker. It made a world of difference with beautiful stereo sound.

Even KeyTweak doesn't help.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a transcriptionist and obviously have a need for speed when transcribing. The shift key is in the worst possible spot, and very small. Don't know who the idiots were who thought placing the page up and page down buttons in this spot was a good idea, obviously don't have to use a keyboard for actually typing. And the streamlining of the laptop excuse is, frankly, extremely lame, considering there are page up and page down buttons on the numbers pad. I tried KeyTweak, but having all the other keys so close really doesn't help at all; and again, the small size of the keys isn't helpful either. I'm returning it before I throw it out the window.

Good back up computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer as a back up for my desktop and to take on vacation. I also use it from time to time as a back up work computer. It serves that purpose and works very well. The big issue with this computer is the keyboard - it is not the easiest to work with. Lenovo made the right shift key smaller than normal. Unless I am very careful, whenever I go to use the shift key, I hit the Up Arrow Key and move the position of the cursor. If I am working with a spreadsheet, the cursor moves to the cell above and over types that cell. The touch pad buttons are also very noisy. Every time you press them, everyone in the room hears it. Overall, it does what I bought it for.

Worst Laptop Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is clear by the reviews that others have not had the same experience as me but I had to share mine to possibly save at least one soul from the same fate I had. I love the memory that is available on the computer. That is where the love stops. This computer has randomly restarted in the middle of me using it at least six times in the past two weeks. Five of those times I was doing assignments for school; yes there is auto save but I do not have it enabled for every second nor should I need to. Once it restarts it takes at least five solid minutes to get everything back up. I can log in but just to a blank screen with no icons. I wanted an economic computer, as a student, and thought this one would be great with all the RAM and hard drive space. Boy was I wrong. The battery life is also less than two and a half hours. That is with just the internet and Microsoft Word running. I have had a Dell Inspiron in the past and if this POC ran half as good as it I would not complain. Also, my girlfriends Mac battery will last up to a week with her using it daily for school. O and I forgot, her laptop doesn't have ads popping out all the time from the OS. I will never buy Lenovo again and cannot wait to return this for a refund. As much as I want to stay PC this was the worst ambassador for it.

Posted .We are sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with your Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15. What you are experiencing is not a common issue with the IdeaPad 110-15. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the headphone jack on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose to leave your programs and files on the device and only restore the operating system, select this. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files.
Once the operating system is restored, the issues you have experienced should be gone. Battery life should also return to normal, approximately 4 to 6 hours, depending on the work the device is doing.
