This little laptop is perfect for students and children. It's very affordable, fast, and had lightweight. The keyboard is nice and it didn't come with a ton of junk preinstalled.

    Do not buy Lenovo

After one year the hinges broke, he camera broke and from the get-go the network adapter was bad. I had to send it back when I had one month of warranty left. First no communication, so I called... couldn't say when it would be ready. I jumped up and down and finally got someone to tell me the parts were on back order. 2 weeks later the part arrived and then they discovered I had listed more than one issue. Same thing...parts on back order cant tell when they will arrive. More screaming from me and magically it is ready. Although expedited shipping was promised it was not. Now the battery suddenly can't hold more than 2 hours, their answer, send it back in but now they had the computer so long the warranty has expired.

I've had to replace the touch pad twice and it's broken again of course it's out of warranty now. I bought it in Feb. 2016 had to take it in the first time 3 months after I got it. then had to have it fixed again in Sept. 2016. Now the pad isn't working again and where you plug in the charger cord the case is separating. If you buy any Lenovo products make sure to get more than a one year warranty.

    So slow

Firefox works...okay? but it's just a really slow/laggy laptop. I can barely do anything on it. I know it isn't my internet since my 4 year old laptop works fine. I wanted an upgrade but my other laptop works a lot better than this one. Trying to run anything other than firefox is a nightmare. Will probably return if it continues to be such a hassle

This system should provide good speed with its Core I-3 processor and 6GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. lenovo

    Don't waste your time

I work with computers all day, bought this one to pay bills and play candy crush, big mistake. I have used this piece of garbage 3 times, each time it has taken 20 to 30 minutes for it to open to my password screen, open Google and 1 file I have on my desktop. If you have this kind of time to wait, go for this cheap computer. But if you like being able to pay your bills and not age a century while doing so go somewhere else. This computer was highly recommended by the sales boy at Best Buy, don't get fooled and waste your time or money. Oh, I have yet to try and play any game, go to Facebook or anything else on this junk, too scared it will crash. Still waiting after 11 mins for my payment to go through on Toyota. Same thing the first time I used it. My old 7 yr old computer is better!

Terrible laptop only had it it for 4 days and its giving me headaches already. It Loads slowly it doesn't recognize the mp3 media file on groove after a couple of openings of the program. It doesn't allow for a change in default programs. And on the third day it booted up it said "Checking and repairing drive :C" without any reason this laptop runs slow.

It only had 2GB of RAM & not 6GB like it says

We bought this computer for my mom. As time passed by it started getting slow as you install updates and other programs. I thought of upgrading this computer from 6GB to 8GB. When I opened the computer to see what kind of RAM it needs, I found out that it was running on 2GB only all this time. For the people that say it runs very slow, that is why and either Best Buy wrote the amount of RAM wrong or Lenovo installed a 2GB instead of a 6GB which is wrong and makes the computer run slow.

The first day I received this unit i went ahead charged it and set up, and updated all apps and windows accordingly. However, received it by ups yesterday and turned off 3/4 hours after installed everything. Today when I was trying to turn the unit, it never turned on. It's was showing on the screen that shouting down for about 2 and half hours. Still if was not turned off. Finally, I call the customer service and returned.

Buyer beware! I have a Lenovo Yoga, less than a year old. It has been repaired once and then the same faults reoccurred shortly after getting it back. I am desperately trying to get it repaired for the second time. Here is one of the responses from Lenovo’s after sales service team; Hi! Another option we can provide in order to get your repaired is we can recommend the parts needed and purchase/order it online. However this is not covered by the warranty. Should you go with it, let us know. -Jerry_Lenovo Buyer beware!

    Losing 5GHz WiFi Signal

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I started to lose my confidence in Lenovo. Once It was a IdeaCenter Stick, now it is this laptop. Continuously loses 5GHz Wi-Fi signal. No, it is not my network. It is this laptop. While it is losing the signal, my Samsung TV nearby this device works perfectly fine. Needless to say, all the other devices on the 2.4GHz network work fine. Unfortunately, it is going back to Best Buy. Otherwise, it may be a good product for the price, but what good is it when it loses the wifi signal in today's connected world? Sorry, but that is what it is.

I have had this laptop for over a year and it has never worked. EVERY time I try to use it the darn thing is updating. I always ten minutes to boot up. It is so unprofessional to go to a meeting and not be able o start because I am waiting on this poo poo to do something, ANYTHING. It is literally out performed by a two year old Android phone. The only reason I haven't smashed this dung-bot into a thousand pieces is because there are certain apps I need to use that I can't on the Droid.

You can turn off automatic updates within Windows 10. You will still get alerts when there is an update available, but you will be able to decide when to allow the update. This will give you the opportunity create a restore point before you allow the update and you can select when the update occurs. To change the automatic update settings in Windows 10, click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows desktop screen. Type "automatic updates" in the search window. Select "Windows Update Settings" from the list of choices. Select "Advanced options". Under "Choose how updates are installed", click on the dropdown menus and select how you want Windows updates to occur. lenovo

Garbage. It gave me problems from set up onward, installing software, running the pre-loaded screen savers (which would work for 10 minutes before quitting), starting up, shutting down. It was as slow as the 10 year-old pc I was trying to replace, despite having way more memory and (supposedly) a much faster processor. I bought it on a Wednesday and by Saturday, knew it needed to be returned. I'm beyond disgusted with this garbage.

I bought this brand new based on all the reviews. Wouldn't even turn on and screen just flickered. Googled and it may likely be a hardware problem. Also, this seems to be a very well-known issue with Lenovo devices. Save yourself time, spend a bit more and get an Asus or something more reliable. Disappointing. Will be returning asap.

This system has Microsoft Office 365 installed as part of the operating system. You just need to activate the existing software with the purchase of a product key. If you have installed an additional copy of the Office Software, it is in conflict with the existing copy as well as slowing down the operating system. Uninstall the additional copy of Office and use the product activation key number that came with the software to activate the software already on the device. lenovo
