Posted .With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

I found the Lenova and for $269.00 on sale I just couldn't pass it up. For what I'm using it for it's just right. i3 processor rocks in this unit.

Bought for my husband and he is having some issues learning Windows 10 but is getting the hang of it. Certainly is an upgrade from his previous model. Very fast and responsive.

With regard to learning your way around Windows 10, you may want to try YouTube.com (just type that address in your browser address window). There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for school~ As an adult returning to college and an online degree completion program I needed an up-to-date computer. While this computer is no-frills, it does the basics well. I like the extra numerical keypad over to the side. I've noticed other reviews complain about the right shift key but I haven't had any real issues with it. I love the larger screen and the computer seems to be fairly lightweight. I will admit the battery life could be a few hours longer.

I use it for surfing the net, check my email, word processing, some pictures. It's been great laptop. Furthermore, it has a 6GB memory, 1TB hardrive , a DVD drive . I like the DVD feature. I have seen other reviews about this laptop, about the right shift key, that it's small problem, It doesn't bother me at all. With all the features of this laptop has, that is a minor problem. I got used to the shift key.

Posted .This system should be a fast system with its Core I-3 processor and 6GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

It started up great, but as soon as I loaded it up with programs I needed it began to slow down. The 1TB it has is nice.

Not what I expected

I love the memory, but the only problem I have is that this laptop is sooooo slow. It takes forever for pages to load, and this is a problem I had using it right out the box. At first I thought maybe it's my Fios connection, but even using it at other locations it still runs slow. I really don't have anything on the laptop taking up memory because I use my iPad for everything, the laptop is used mainly so my teenage son can type papers in Word. The speakers are not the best and you may want to connect an external speaker or headphones. But overall it gets the job done. I like the laptop, and if you're not really using it to do a lot of internet surfing then it's great.

Especially the 1 TB hard disk allows me to store lots of photos and videos as memories. One negative point: When multiple applications are running and when I open task manager, I see Hard disk is always 100% utilised. I am not sure whether it is a hard disk issue or whether it is an operating system issue. But because of this the overall speed of application is impacted. On the other hand RAM and processor are having performance as per their specifications. There is 1 limitation of this laptop. If you play 4k videos the video plays well but the processor gets heated up quickly. So I would advise not to play 4k video on this laptop. But FHD and HD videos are played well.
