It is lightweight, streamlined and in general all that I was hoping it would be!! Start up was easy and I love the big screen. No negative at all....would recommend to anyone!

On the right side, they have put the "page down" key where the "shift" key is on every other keyboard I have used for over 30 years. This is extremely annoying.

Posted .With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.
Good Overall, but Battery Problem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always liked Lenovo, and I have a ThinkPad E530 that is 6 years old and going strong, so I didn't hesitate to buy this IdeaPad. It works well and was a great value for the money but about two days after I bought it the battery stopped working. It's probably fine but the laptop doesn't recognize it, it doesn't charge, and no amount of software resetting and driver reconfiguration would snap it out of the trouble. The battery has an internal connector, so to remove it you have to disassemble it. I called Lenovo and they sent a new battery but it behaved the same way. I would just give up and move on except that I had already transferred all of my data and have it set up the way I want it. Redoing all of that on a new replacement isn't appealing. I need to send it back to Lenovo for repairs at this point which is a bummer. I don't want to wait a week or more while they fix it but I have no choice. They suspect a faulty motherboard. I suspect Windows 10 Updates. In the end it doesn't matter if it comes back to me working but this is an unexpected inconvenience for sure.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop. We are sorry to hear about the issue you are having with the battery. If you are correct that it is a Windows 10 update configuration issue, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the headphone jack on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files.
Quite user friendly

The system needed a network reset for that to happen. After that my wife went through some other hoops to familiarize herself with this laptop and use it close to as well as we are used with the Toshiba laptop which we had for several years and still have.

The only complaint I have is that after a couple of weeks basic use the laptop is slow start up and I haven't installed anything on the computer other than Microsoft office and a few other very small apps from the Microsoft store.

Posted .This system should have good speed with its Core I-3 processor and 6GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.
