Altho I am not a fan of Win 10, this laptop has the speed, space on the hard drive, and memory to be a comfortable machine for the foreseeable future. I was very happy to get on sale, and am pleased with the preformance

Great price and very quiet. Enjoy how fast for an I-3 processor. Plus lightweight make easy to carry around. Lenovo is much better than my HP and Dell. Will buy Lenovo again.

Found a price I could handle in the weekend flier of Best Buy. Went in for a demo and mine had crapped out so I was ready to buy. Went mostly on price and also on the fact I need to do a lot of writing and editing but not necessarily a ton of gigs needed. Competent salesman although he handed me off and ran to help another customer a little rudely. I left my old one and they put the data in the new one. Worth the cost. Efficient except it took a few days w/o my computer. Windows product for a year free came with product, and I purchased the security which was very easy to install, even for someone not all that comfy with loading stuff. I would make this same purchase again. It is lightweight and so far working like a dream, inspiring isn't it?

Ok, there is a lot to like about this Lenovo. The expandable 6 GB memory and the 1TB hard drive are well above the other I3 entry level laptops offered in this category. The large screen size even with the lower resolution is easy on these older eyes. The full size HDMI port is sweeter when compared with my Lenovo Yoga 7 mini-HDMI port. I really don't care about the DVD drive but if your into this fading feature, here you go. I think the space could have been better used for more 3.0 USB ports and separate headphone and mic jacks though. Bloatware is at a minimum as is common with Lenovo machines. Overall this so far has been great for how I use it, web surfing; spreadsheets and the occasional movie (streaming). The lack of higher resolution and a poor fitting plastic case is the reason I can't give this unit a higher rating. Speakers are poorly implemented as they are downward facing along with the power lights. I've had no issue with the right shift key as others have reported but being a lefty is maybe a reason why. If your looking for a machine for light duty such as watching movies; web surfing; spreadsheets and word processing, than this is it. If you expect it to perform as a gaming machine or for heavy video editing, you'll likely be disappointed.

Another "you get what you paid for" item. Laptop was an emergency pick up as my 2 desktops were comprised on same evening and my other laptop was running Vista; not to mention physically falling apart. Lenovo speakers are very tinny, not tremendous computing power. Would be great if only needed to handle email and web. At less then $250, worth the cost.

I am impressed by this laptop. It was a replacement for a dying seven year old HP which had given great service. It has an intel i3 processor and seems very quick to me, much faster than my old machine.
I am a somewhat tech-saavy Senior who uses a computer for email, Facebook, surfing for travel and for creating large, artful Shutterfly books from thousands of travel photos. I do not do any online gaming or streaming of movies or TV, so I do not know how well it does any of that. But for someone with the type of needs similar to mine, why waste extra money on more computer capability. My husband and I can each have one of these for the price of one more expensive laptop. He will probably buy one when his needs replacing.

Compared to my old Windows XP laptop, this thing flies. I did try an i3 Lenovo laptop before deciding that it was too slow. I upgraded to this one and was pleased with the performance and quickness.
Weight-wise, it's not bad - not the lightest thing, but also not too heavy to make portability an issue.
Overall, pretty happy with the purchase.

I reviewed several laptops on line and the Lenovo gets good marks. The only challenges I've found are with the right hand shift key - seems to be one key further over than normal and takes some getting used to. Also the mouse "keys" click each time and become annoying. I've gone to a wireless mouse to eliminate that annoyance.

With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

I bought this laptop when my main one was having issues. It's decent. But that's about it. You can't expect it to run anything that needs speed.
The screen is good though, and watching movies on it is good EXCEPT for the fact that you can't hear the tiny little speakers.
Overall, if it's a starter laptop for a teen or pre-teen, or a backup for your main one, it's a good buy.

Bought this for my Grandson, whose laptop died - just before his online courses were finished. Not heavy gamer fast, but more than fast enough for all other applications, good amount of storage, reasonably priced. Best of all, I could buy it online and my daughter could pick it up the same day 400 miles away.

I've had this laptop a little over a month.I am very happy with the speed and performance of this laptop. The 1TB hard drive and the 6 GB memory was a steal at $279 plus tax. The only issue I have is the that the sound quality is not so great , I have to use headphones to hear when I'm streaming movies.

I was a little hesitant on buying this computer because of the name but I'm very pleased with this computer. I use this computer everyday. The battery holds a charge for a few days before I have to charge it. For a great price it would be a good computer to start out with.

Fantastic. Has been great for me. I'm a college student, and this suits all my needs. Only have a few negatives: battery isn't all that great, sometimes loses wifi, and HDD ended up not being recognized after a few months, which led to me having to send it in to warranty.

Bought as emergency replacement for my prior computer that had just fried. Had Geek Squad retrieve my data/images etc and transfer. Had about a minute to decide on which computer to replace it with, This was the 2nd one they recommended, only about $10 more than the first (price was a big object for me) - this one was better, affordable and could store my years of image files etc. Had to get it all done fast as they were closing in an hour and holiday weekend coming up (isn't it always like that when your computer dies lol).
Windows 10 is 'eh', trying to be like a Mac, but ok. Everything works, it's a little big for a laptop, resolution doesn't seem as fine as I used to have, keyboard a little clumsier, and I don't need or want all the pre-loaded games etc it wants me to activate so I am removing them. In all, though, I've been able to get up to speed again with my work, art and other activities pretty fast, so - Guess for the price I paid (it was on sale by coincidence), I have no complaints. Actually a pretty good little laptop.

I purchased this after my HP died. I love that this has a lot of hard drive space, but as others sthe processor lags which makes me crazy. I'm not a gamer nor do I download music or stream videos or programs. I do have a small business and I use the Internet often for research. The lag time is frustrating but tolerable. Actually it worked better before the windows 10 upgrade.
Nonetheless this is a good laptop for school work.
