purchased for my non-computer savvy mother. she mostly browses the net, emails and does basic documents for her business. only been a month but she loves it. a tad heavy in my opinion, but its pretty much on par with other laptops in a similar price range.

This laptop so far seems to be just what my mother needed - with decent speed for reasonably low cost. Best value on the market as far as I could tell. We got a bluetooth stereo speaker to compensate for the marginal built-in speakers and it works just fine.

I went to Best Buy looking for a good basic computer. My needs were small as I was using this computer as an interface for a server. It does not have a touch screen and the keyboard is not back lit. The screen is large and of good quality. The track pad is large and very easy to use. The hard drive is massive! The more I use this computer, the more I like it. I've loaded it up with MS Office + Paint Shop Pro. All work very well. I am now using the computer as a back up to my desktop. Great, no frills computer for a student or adult.

My teenager found this laptop easy to setup and use. She loves it! She's always using it now and it is helping with her studies. Great choice!

I needed a "back-up" computer as my everyday laptop was beginning to show its age. I didn't want to spend a fortune, and I didn't need something with top-grade features; I simply wanted a decent hard-drive with a keyboard, a machine with more meat to it than a tablet. I read through the reviews for this model of Lenovo, and friends who have Lenovos (though they don't have this model) praised the brand highly. The price was low and at the time of purchase it was on sale. I guess this laptop proves the old saw "You get what you pay for." First, I didn't realize it does not have a touch-screen. Yes, I know, that mistake is down to me, but I certainly didn't see it in the copy on the ad, and the salesperson I spoke to didn't mention it. I didn't ask because (more fool me) I had the idea that Windows 10 = touch-screen. Not so. Second, it was so s-l-o-w! I had just had to do a factory-reset on my primary laptop (Dell Inspiron) and it was up and running quickly, inside of two hours, even with the extras I downloaded and added on. This Lenovo? Six hours later it was still working on the initial set-up. I let it run overnight, then had to set it to run Windows updates. More hours passed, then I had to start building and customizing on top of the basics. Just installing a single app took an hour. Memory-intensive apps took much longer. After working with it for a day-and-a-half and struggling to do things without a touch-screen, I gave up. I did a factory reset (which took nearly a whole day) and returned it to Best Buy. They were very accommodating, understood why this model wasn't working for me, and gave me a full refund. They then directed me to a model (different brand) that did what I was looking for. Pros: size; weight; price; monitor clarity; number pad. Cons: no touch-screen; slow speed; clumsy to use. As other reviewers have pointed out, the right-side shift key is the same size as the normal letter keys. I type 100+ wpm and I've adapted to a lot of keyboards over the years, but the right-side shift defeated me. I was continually making corrections. Lenovo needs to address this design flaw. This model may work for some people, especially if they're only looking for programs such as word-processing. I don't livestream videos, I don't play sophisticated games, I don't do anything that needs intense graphics or super-high-speed or high-tech features. But if it takes hours to download and install the printer drivers, and I can't get Word to load without struggling, then it's not the machine for me.

This computer is really good.. is fast and it works awesome!! Love the fact that works perfect with all I do .. and is easy to travel with ..

What I really like about this computer is that it is possible to reset it to factory settings without a recovery disk. All you have to do is press and hold for 10 seconds a button inside of a small hole next to the power plug. turn the computer off, plug it into AC, press and hold the button with a paperclip for ten seconds, release and follow the instruction on the screen. A few things that I don't like are the keys don't always make connection when typing and, thus, leave out letters an the right shift key is a long reach.

It was not my intention to buy a new computer but old one was high jacked and destroyed. NEVER PAY THE HIGH JACKERS. But the good news is this is faster and has more capabilities and generally so far I love it it would be a five if it had more usb ports.

I got it on sale for less than $300 and it is one of the best laptops I have ever bought. Great Product and my investment were worth it.

Looked at various laptops. All Brands. Decided on the Lenovo because of it's features and price. Sales help was great. Have had no issues.

I bought 2 of this laptops one for my daughter and one for my niece and going for my third one for my son for good laptops for the price.

I bought this computer for my girlfriend so she can pay bills online and check her email. It seems to be a decent basic laptop, nothing fancy. I had a Lenovo desktop PC and it worked great, never had any problems. So I'm hoping the same for this laptop.

When Geek squad said my computer was toast, a very helpful sales rep explained everything about the Lenova. It was exactly what I wanted, no bells or whistle. 6 mos interest free. Just a few annoying Windows10 pop ups that i choose to ignore. Thank you

I bought this as a work computer. Just for emails, office, and programming. For it's price I don't think you would find a better computer.

Good value for the specs, I3 6gig of ram and 1 terabytes of storage, extra features like Bluetooth, SD reader, DVD drive and 15.6 inch screen with 1366 x768 resolution. But slow either processor or hard drive write speed. I tried transferring a file size of 20gig to the internal hard drive, opening a application or another task, will make it crawl and slow down, you have to wait until transfer completed before you can do other task ( example opening iTunes, explore or etc). The monitor display heavier than the keyboard and body, that why the unit feel unbalance. I did purchase for my family 2 different model of ASUS with same price range, and I believe the ASUS laptop have a better over all performance.

I would definitely recommend this computer to parents who have school aged children, and looking to buy them a personal laptop. It is great for school work and for playing games, or connecting with friends. Lots of tools to help parents keep kids safe.

This laptop is decent for the price (got on sale). But the mouse is one of the worst I've used on a laptop. The whole thing also has a plastic feel to it.
