I just use it for e-mail and to stream TV shows. It plays dvds and the speakers work, which is more than I can say for my last machine. It suits my purposes very well. I can't speak to how it is for more complex things because I don't do anything more complex.

Great laptop for the price

It is used mostly for web browsing and simple computing tasks - works great for my simple needs. I do my taxes and use it for Office tasks. Kids use it for school so gmail and all of its offerings. Snappy response time - no concerns as of 3 months into it

Equipped with an integrated optical drive, for my wife and she really enjoys this multimedia machine and enjoy watching movies on DVDs. We really are thrilled with our Lenovo Ideapad 110 laptop, which came with Windows 10 conveniently pre-installed, has a generous 1TB hard drive.

Posted .With regard to the optical drive issues you mention with your device, there may be driver updates for your specific system. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Here is the link:
