We had been waiting for some bargain that never existed on a gaming laptop. When we saw this was on sale for like 3 hours, we made the move to get it. It seems to be working just fine for his games and homework. Didn't give it a 5 because I don't give anything a 5. Can't find anything really wrong with it except that new laptops don't come with CD-ROM/RW drives anymore.

Easy to use, sturdy and good display

I really like this laptop, except for one thing - the shift key on the right side is one key farther over than usual, to accommodate the page up key. It is taking some time to relearn the keyboard locations for these two keys when touch typing, though most people now don't touch type so not much of a problem for most users.

As we took pictures on our excursions we would down load them to the laptop in the evening. It has plenty of memory and a media slot, great for our camera. As we were traveling out of the country it also became our communication method choice back home. The only short coming is the sound system. a little lacking. This was overcome by headphones or external amplified speakers.

My only complaint thus far is that the right shift key is oddly placed. When I need to type documents or emails I have to remember that the the right shift key is in an unusual position next to the page up key. Very annoying. Had I realized that in the store I would have made a different choice.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the headphone jack on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. Additionally, with regard to the speaker volume, you might try going in to Properties for sounds/speaker. For Playback, find the Enhancement Tab. Find Equalizer. Change setting to Powerful. Finally, with regard to learning your way around Windows 10, you may want to try YouTube.com (just type that address in your browser address window). There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.

Only drawback is the right SHIFT key is in a strange spot. While typing my little finger goes to where it normally is, but on this keyboard the PAGE UP key is there. It can get annoying. Another drawback is the touchpad left click key is a bit tough to press down. It's not as smooth as other computers I've had. Other than those minor issues, I like it.

Also problem with the right side shift key isn't in a comfortable easy to use place and when try to hit it automatic when typing always hit page up key instead and messes up my typing. Not happy with that one for i type without looking most of the time.

I researched all I could to find the best reviews and ratings at the lowest cost. This laptop seemed to meet my needs (pay bills, social media, online searches and purchases, some letter writing and saved documents and pictures). As other reviewers noted, it is very slow. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.

Posted .This system should provide sufficient speed with its Core I-3 processor and 6GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.
