You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.

So the larger screen on the Lenovo laptop makes the display easier to see, and the performance is excellent.

Great value laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really was not expecting much from this laptop, however it has exceeding my expectations. I upgraded the ram and HDD to SDD and now this thing really flies. The bottom of the laptop was really easy to take off. There were only 2 screws on the bottom and once off you slide the cover off. Basic task, web surfing and watching movies are really nice. I love the 17" screen as there is a lot of real estate for my programs. As far as the keyboards and trackpad they were decent. I noticed that when I install Lenovo's touchpad drivers I was not able to use 2 finger tap. I uninstalled it and let windows update it and it works, strange. Also when i lay my hands on the keyboard for a long time I get lines on my wrist as the front as the corners of the laptop is little sharp. Overall very please with it and will be using it for basic task and also using it for DJ software.

After a few years of excessive use for school, battery life decline (as expected). The touch screen was a nice feature to have. The big screen was also a plus.

The 4 GB ram was $35 and the 240 GB SSD was $75. So for $465 plus tax I have a very fast computer.

My desktop won't see the Internet. Up til now, it has been what I expected. It froze up trying to boot up about 2 weeks after I bought it, but that was the only glitch I've had. Not a bad price for the unit. I missed the sale price by 2 or 3 days. I m guessing that if I have any issues, it will be with the software and not the hardware

Lenovo is excellent at keeping the laptops they produce from being bogged down by bloatware. There were very few extra programs installed so I had nearly a clean slate. this laptop doesn't have the best and most powerful processor but it is very snappy and perfect for school and browsing. The display is nice and easy to adjust to preference. Very good buy for the money I spent.

Only drawback, no lighted keyboard. Kinda sucks but workable. So far has been really good. Lenovo has a variety of things you can access that are really nice.
