I do love the larger screen. I was just so used to what limitation my other laptop had. That I just expected that this would be the same. I am glad that it is not the case. I would like to thank the people at Best Buy in Gurnee with all their help in answering any questions that I had.

Purchased this Lenovo laptop as a replacement for my son's 6 year old Apple Macbook. As an Engineering student, he needed a replacement that could do the same things as his old Macbook. With it's Intel i5 processor, 8 Gig of RAM, this laptop does the job. Although it has a 17.3 inch diag screen, it's relative thinness & lightweight makes it easy to carry around the University campus. And if top of all these great features, it is very reasonably priced.

This laptop is awesome. It logs in almost as fast as my desktop, which is top of the line and custom built with an SSD boot drive. The RAM however, falls a little short. It's more than enough for just about anything you want to do. I've pulled up spreadsheets, had 4 different tabs open in firefox, listening to music via the spotify app and was in the process of image editing via photoshop. It stuttered a little during the image editing in photoshop but outside of that it runs very smoothly. Video editing however, is a no go unless you are able to upgrade the ram to 16 GB, which is the max it supports. This will not void the warranty as I've contacted countless people via best buy and the Lenovo website and they've instructed me that it is fine to do so. The speakers are a little iffy in my opinion. They work and work fine at that, but they feel like they are pointing backwards so it always sounds like any videos I watch are playing away from me. The volume is perfect for any of my needs so no worries there. In my experience, it's standard to have angle issues with laptops and this one has the same issues. You have to have the screen a specific way in order to see properly or else everything gets that dark shine to it making it difficult to watch movies or play games. On the topic of games, you wont be playing Fallout 4 on this laptop by any means but I'm a fan of old school RTS games like Age of Mythology, Age of Empires and Rise of Nations. These all run well on this laptop so I'm glad for that, they're good games to kill time. TL:DR, I like it. If you want a laptop that can handle a reasonable amount of work, you've definitely found it. Plus a 17 inch screen is insane.

This is a really big screened laptop with a nice processor, 1TB hard drive & 8GB of RAM, and it does everything I need it to do. I didn't need to splurge for an SSD or backlit keys, & I did have need for a DVD/CD drive, so this was perfect.

As someone who is getting a little long in the tooth I really appreciate the large screen. I found the performance of this machine to suit my business needs perfectly. It was an excellent investment at a reasonable price.

We bought an 17.3 in HP 5 years ago at BB for about $800 plus and now it started to lag after cleaning it out and rebooting still lost its touch. So I looked again for another HP at BB and saw Lenovo 17.3 instead for a better price and simple look. I researched about it while I was there and compared it to the HP. Better wireless that supported AC and better price $400 than the HP with less features. I bought it as a surprised for my wife's birthday. After she received it and started using it for her work, she noticed that it doesn't overheat like the HP, has better spacing for typing, and no dropped in connection and speed. I even speed tested it and it was four times the speed tthen the old HP. I am glad that I bought this and I wished I bought another one just for the heck of it for our kitchen counter.

I bought this computer because it was on sale for $399.99. A really good price for this computer. It has a 6th generation Intel I5 with 8 gigs of ram. Also 1 terabyte hard drive. I did buy 8 more gigs of ram so I now have 16 gigs. 8 was enough but I wanted more. I have to admit 16 is better. I installed it myself so no labor charges. Like I said it's a really good computer for the price.

I bought this last year, and it was amazing, I upgraded the RAM to 16gb and it worked even better. A really big and smooth running laptop.

One of the best laptop, this has 17.3 screen with 1600X900 resolution. pictures looks pretty bright and vibrant. This laptop is also packed with 6th gen I5 processor with 8GB of ram. Processor is fast and handles all load that you thought towards it. Best laptop I had ever own so far.

For the price the memory is okay and the speed is good enough for most.screen size is great.laptop is a good choice for a 2nd or 3rd computer to carry around and not worry to much.

Plenty of speed and memory for home office and small business use. Large screen gives it a feel of a desktop but can still mobile if necessary.

I got this to be used a desktop, so the big screen! I like that it has the easy access to the HDD and RAM. I swapped the original HDD with a SSD. The computer is extremely fast. Also to mention, I have Linux Mint installed on it (no Windows). So far very happy with the purchase. People writes about the keyboard! well, it is not my first Lenovo (and not the last), I also had some complaints about it but sure enough, got used to it very fast. The display is amazing, the performance is outstanding. All in all (including the price) this is a very good computer that I am torturing for a while now!

For the price, you can't go wrong. My coworker wanted a fast, large storage, big screen computer and this fit his requirements.

I was looking for something decent for school. I purchased this one because it was on sale. The product exceeds my expectation. It runs smoothly with multiple applications. I like the big screen although I think the clarity could be better. It has more than enough storage for my need. It is hard to find a case for it, though. Overall, I am pleased with this product. It is a good buy.

With the updated 8GB of ram and 1TB hard drive and i5 processor it's really a pretty good deal for the price.

Good memory, fast, good battery life, nice screen resolution

This laptop is a real bargain. The large screen is just great, has very nice color and graphics. The keyboard has a really nice touch and the speakers sound great. The i5 processer is very fast. I'm not a gamer just use for email, surfing the web and social media. Also love the dvd drive which is missing on most new laptops. This is my first Lenovo but so far I love the overall quality of this machine.
