The IdeaPad is a nice laptop with a couple of quirks. The good is the ability to flex into four different configurations. I wanted a laptop and tablet however it's a little heavy when using as a tablet. The battery life is decent and charges quickly. It is a little slow but if you are only doing basic things that don't require great speed then it will do what you need it to do.

It has held up great. Was nice and fast at first but it’s been a little sluggish lately. I think I’m going to buy a new ssd and reformat to start fresh all over again.

Bought this laptop during ThanksGiving deal and it has been a great so far! It's light weight. Though configurations are little lower, that's what support my daily need like browsing, social networking etc. This low price gave me touchscreen as well as convertible feature! Good buy.

We were looking for a good start up laptop for our teenage daughter for her birthday. Touch screen a must, love that it turns in a tablet form. This one had just the right amount of specs that we were looking for. Definitely a plus not having a lot of pre downloaded apps on the laptop. My only issue is setting it up takes at least an hour or two due to the updates. You can still surf the internet but once it’s ready to install that’s about 30 mintand several reboots. No problems with connectivity. Touch screen very responsive. Search features on point and she can access YouTube without any issues. It charges fast and it doesn’t get to warm while on the charger and being used. My daughter has only been on it for two days so, so far no issues. Satisfied customer!! And love the sale at Best Buy $319.99 you cant beat that.

I bought this for my little sister because she was starting junior high school. It is light, the perfect size for hands that are still growing, and has enough processing power to run Microsoft Office extremely quickly. It has a cool design and she uses the touch screen to show off occasionally to her parents about her high tech computer. The reason that it didn't get the full 5 stars is the fact that only a month after the purchase date, the computer froze up for the first time. It wouldn't turn off for a full day and then it started working again for no reason. With my larger laptop, I would pop out the battery if the computer wasn't responsive and then pop it in half an hour later and there would be no problem. Although it has only happened once, it is something to be cautious about. I would suggest purchasing a protection plan. Overall, its perfect for your kid in junior high and high school and lets you save up some money before buying them that expensive Mac that they all want in college.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Flex 4-14. With regard to the system shutting down and not starting up again, This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the power plug port on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Boot to Desktop". Select this. This will get the system up and running. Then you should run a diagnostic to see what the problem is. You can find diagnostic software as well as driver updates if they are needed, at Lenovo.com. Here is the link for this system:

I'm glad I was able to get this on sale because it was definitely worth it! However at the regular price I would have just upgraded to the next level up and got the SSD instead. This laptop is a bit slower than I anticipated and maybe it's because I haven't fully set it up to where I want it but it seems a tad laggy at times for being brand new. I will say I do not like the "mouse pad" as it is not very responsive like it should be but getting an external wireless mouse would fix that issue. Although I feel it kind of defeats the purpose of a mobile laptop. I'm just hoping it will be able to keep up with what I plan on using it with and if not I'm hoping I can upgrade it down the road.

I am writing this review for my wife who is the one using this 2 in 1 daily. I will go right into it and list the pros that she likes and cons and my thoughts being an electronic junkie. I will add that the hard drive is the main weakness here but I'll get to that. PROS Screen is very responsive and easy to navigate Laptop is pretty light being a convertible It is pretty comfortable as she mainly uses it in portrait mode Battery is excellent and she is on it for 3 hours or so a day and has at least 3 quarters of the battery left Overall performance is very fluid and this brings me to the next points CONS Performance. There have been some complaints about the performance and capabilities of this laptop. They might be true and I honestly cannot say. I swapped the HDD out for an SSD within 10 minutes of being home. For 420 I got the laptop and SSD and spent less than something equivalent. With the SSD she has noticed zero lag and performance has been fluid and multitasking is great. If you get this 2 in 1 save yourself a headache and get an SSD. Spend 10 minutes before you go installing everything. Save the HDD as a backup with an external hard drive enclosure. I hope this review helps some people out.

I purchased this after my other computer started to die on me. I primarily use it for school. This is an incredibly light computer light computer, as well as really quiet. It has a fast start up time and great for basic school work and internet use. I haven't used it for gaming, and don't I don't expect to use it as a gaming laptop. The touch screen's response is good. Although I don't use the tablet mode very often. The resolution of the screen is great. The speakers are on the underside of the laptop, so I do turn it up quite a bit to hear it when playing video. Videos and music sound better in tablet or tent mode. Overall, a great thin and portable laptop. I also enjoyed that, this computer didn't come with a lot of bloatware. The fan is also in the rear, which is nice for having it on your lap. There is a ton of palm rest space, which can actually be a pain, but with everything else, it's worth it. The specs were great for what I wanted and within my budget. I spent all weekend looking online for laptops and 'am very happy with this purchase.

I'm fairly impressed with this as a budget computer that I paid around $200 for. Not sure it's worth it for much more than that. The Good: - Full 360 degree screen means it can be folded back completely flat and used as a tablet. Touch screen seems to work well. - If you look at cpu benchmarks, the 4405U is fairly impressive and power efficient compared to other budget processors. DDR4 RAM. - While you can hear the fans quietly running, the computer runs pretty cool. - The trackpad is decent, with the usual multi touch gestures supported. - Battery life is good and it charges quickly. - SD card slot, Ethernet, HDMI ports are nice to have built in. The Bad: - This thing is super sluggish out of the box. All the Lenovo bloatware slowed the system to a crawl. The Lenovo software for automatic switching from tablet to laptop did not work reliably. - Two finger tap for right click didn't work without a registry edit. (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\TouchPadSMB2cTM2334 - change 2FingerTapAction to a value of 2) I reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows 10, removing all files and settings, and it runs much better. All the drivers were automatically installed after checking for updates, and it's easy to switch to tablet mode manually by swiping from the right edge of the screen and pressing the button instead of using the Lenovo software. Installing an SSD and memory upgrade would probably make this thing extremely speedy, but I don't want to invest any more right now. The Ugly: - The size and placement of the right shift key is atrocious and borderline unusable. It's been shrunk to the size of an arrow key and located to the right of the up arrow, so you're constantly pressing the up arrow instead of the shift key. I can't fathom why they thought altering the keyboard layout like this was a good idea. - The screen is really bad. 1366 x 768 resolution might actually be a benefit for older users, but often things look blurry. The picture seems washed out and viewing angles are narrow. The screen looks especially bad in portrait tablet mode - you cannot get the angle right for a decent picture. Landscape or laptop mode, when viewing head on, is acceptable but not good. In summary: This thing is pretty cool and well worth it (around the $200 price point) if you can overlook and spend the time correcting its shortcomings. If they fixed the right shift key, put a better screen in it, and had the option to ship without bloatware, it would be nearly perfect.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Flex 4-14. With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

Concerning the other issues you mention that were not fixed by installing driver updates, the screen resolution et cetera, we will look in to these issues for future improvements. lenovo

It is a simple, basic 2 in 1 laptop/tablet ideal for small trips. Perfect for emails, web-browsing and logging into work server and with a decent size 14" screen. PROS: Not bulky, not heavy. decent battery and cheap. CONS: Very hard to increase RAM - need to send it to service for that, slow, basic windows 10 version (not PRO).

    Good 2-in-1 For the Price

Was in the market for a 2-in-1 to use not only as a laptop but also as a tablet for reading. I thought about drawing/sketching but since I don't like the mushy tip stylus, and hard tip ones are kinda pricey, I have not done much of it other than to test it out. My best likable feature is the ability to flip the screen past 180 and the keyboard automatically becomes disabled. Windows 10 has had some issues with switching to Tablet mode when the screen is rotated backwards but it is simple enough to switch to tablet mode from the system tray so no biggey there. I do have a small issue with the keyboard. While the left shift key is larger than most other keys the right side shift is only small square AND it is on the very outside to the right of the up arrow key which I have accidentally pressed thinking it was the shift key. All in all this little 2-in-1 was worth the money for me. I have used it in both airports and on airplanes as a reading tablet and the battery life was great. Lasted an entire flight from Tampa FL to Chicago IL without problems.

I purchased this computer for work. It was necessary for wordprocessing and other work related functions. The size is perfect for transporting from home to Office. The computer itself doesn’t feel cheap or cheesy like some models. I adapted to the keyboard placements. I also found it to move very smoothly from one function to another and have yet to hit any glitches. The audio playback sound is also good for this price range. I do regret that this model does not have the backlit keyboard, otherwise this has proven to be a good purchase. This is my second Lenovo so far, it won’t be my last.
