This laptop proved to be very affordable (cheaper here than with competitors) and provides speed and ample storage at a great cost. The large screen is great from someone who uses the computer many hours a day too.

The computer was bought to replace my mini Asus which I use for traveling. I was leaving for Europe and needed a computer to take. The Lenovo works but I don't really like the Windows 8 system and I refuse to use windows 10. The computer worked well but I will repair my mini and take it next time, it is better for travel.

The Lenovo - G50 15.6 Laptop is a great product for a college but for a gamer it is best to find something better. If you know how to replace the processor with a better one so that larger games can be played and find a way to increase the available RAM then a begining to medium level gamer would be happy with this laptop.

So what do you expect for a $300 laptop...not much. Let's be honest. However, having used this laptop for 60 days now, I'm over the moon impressed with what it has. I bought a similarly priced HP last year and the thing didn't last 9 months. I work solely on the road in real estate and this little baby has exceeded my expectations. I don't do anything but productivity....Appraisal Software, very minor photo manipulation, email, internet and Office Applications. However, at any given time I have 8-12 internet tabs, 6-8 excel spreadsheets, three Word docs and my appraisal software open at any given time...and I never see any slowness or hiccups. I doubt it would handle major multi-media, but with 6gb of RAM, it'll handle anything college or high school homework would offer. Overall, I'm uber impressed with the product and its price.

Very good price for this machine which works very well so far (I've only had it for about a month). A little big for my use, but couldn't find a smaller one for what I wanted to pay. It comes with Windows 8 which I immediately had removed and replaced with 7. Seems to work very well even after that change.

Windows 10 is a little hard to get used to. I keep hitting something and the fonts change from big to little or vice versa. Haven't figured out what I am doing. Otherwise love the new laptop

The computer works well, had a little problem with the security software that came with the system. Had to reload my system image because I got some kind of virus. So I would recommend a system backup right away, now It's working well. It loads very fast and seems to stream without any buffering

Recent new purchase to replace a Toshiba. I like that the laptop is lightweight, durable and has a closed keyboard. The only thing I don't like is the sunk in buttons. I would rather have the mouse buttons stick up a little more so they are more easy to distinguish which one I am pushing.

Its everything you need, not for gaming for sure. Core i3 with 4 gigs of RAM is really good for day to day work and some programming apps.
Really recommend, best product for the price

An earlier review warned about the touch pad but I ignored it thinking it wouldn't happen again to me. It did. Rare, but occasionally it will not respond or it goes in the wrong direction. If you can get the cursor to close the browser, you can then open a new one, go to history and resume. The other reviewer simply added a mouse and cable but I need mine as a laptop. Other than one agonizing minute compared to about every three hours of fluid and responsive performance, I'd probably buy it again. Just shouldn't tolerate the mouse pad but I'd rather avoid the hassle of a return. It's fine for me, I use it only for home, email, banking, web surfing, news, etc., but I couldn't recommend because of that one issue. For the price I paid, I can live with it.

This is a nice computer for the price. For someone who just surfs the web, needs it for school or just wants to play games this one does it all. So far my only complaints are that the keys are a little to close together and I wish they a little more sensitive.

This computer is good for the price, and it does what I need it to do for school: Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Internet, etc. Obviously, with an i3 processor it isn't the fastest, but it works for what I need. Would recommend for students on a budget.

I called my nearest best buy and spoke to a representative on the laptops available under $500. I told him my major was elementary education and he suggested this one. I love it. It's really awesome i can do everything for school on here. Great start off computer for college students.
